155 Rice Ball price, 202 necklaces not enough!!!!?????

So i've been trying to get my norg fame so i can sub ninja on my war and i have collevted 202 necklaces with another 16 going ot be turned in soon. ive made the trip to norg to start the utsemi (sorry for the mispell) quest, most of my ls and numerous guides saying that you need ot have under 156 rice ball price to have lvl 4 fame. thee fame checker in norg says i only have lvl 3 fame and ive been really irrittated on what the rice ball price needs to be. does anyone know the exact price the rice balls need to have lvl 4 fame?

If you do a few Ninjutsu Scroll quest in Norg, like Tonko: Ichi, etc, that should raise enough fame for Utemsui: Ichi Scroll.

It seems to be variable, from what I've seen. The lower into the 150s though, the better your chances of being able to get the quests. The best gauge of Fame is the guy in Norg, but it's a bitch going all the way there to check.

I actually just did this today. I have no idea how much Zinc Ore I turned in, but I know I was in the high 150s when I got all of my spell quests.

Keep in mind, as others have said, that doing the other ninjutsu scrolls will give you fame too, much more so than a single trade of 4 necklaces.

Also, I believe the Tonko Ichi quest is a pre-requisite?

It's not a pre-req. You can get both of them at the same time (I know I did this afternoon).

I'm not sure I'd rely on rice ball prices. 3/4 times when I've used the Somepage Rice Ball price guidelines to intuit Norg Fame, the result has been incorrect (even near the low-end of the cutoffs). Counting necklaces/zinc is probably the better way to go.

well my rice ball price is a 153 and i have now collected 16 more necklaces making my total collected to 218 and did the it's not your vault quest. after all this my fame is still lvl 3. wtf is up with this??? i guess im going fishing for f'ing rusty leggings.....

Have you turned in any boyahda moss lately? Because doing that decreases Norg fame but doesn't change you rice ball price iirc.

I just did this today, my riceballs cost 150 and I had turned in about 230 beads, and 25 zinc ore.

i tried going before i had all this but i wasnt high enough, so i turned in 20 more beads and 12 more ore then I was done.

didnt take as long as I thought it would. If i were you just do one more trip to giddeus and bring back 20 of them.

Everytime that I've done the yagudo necklaces for Norg fame (5 times now), I've turned in exactly 240 Yagudo necklaces and have been able to trigger both quests for Utsusemi: Ichi and Tonko: Ichi. 240 has always been the magic number for me, though the price of Rice balls has always differed each time.

The AH in Norg is the same as the one in Bastok; but fame is not linked. Each city has its own fame levels.
