Can you have 2 chocobos?

My first one already when to the chocobo farm since it was past 129 days. Im planning to get another one. Can you choose on which chocobo to call with your whistle when the 2nd one grows up?

Now on the fly. But whenever you visit your stable, you can trade the VGS card to register your retired chocobo for riding I think...
