Weapon skills and Job levels

So I know that the more you use a weapon the level of that type goes up, but do these levels stay no matter what your job is? Or if you change jobs, do they go to zero for that job until they go up?

And with the advanced jobs and expansion jobs, do they have a level requirement to use it, or is it only the quest you have to do?

Well i cant tell you for certain. But i believe you get to keep your WS from job to job, just most jobs dont let you be that proficient in using the weapons of another job all the time and limit you from not using that type of weapon, or only a few of them.

Also yes you need to completely a quest to get all Advanced and Expansion Jobs. Your level requirement is there to tell you what level you wont get brutally slaughterd at.
