Race Choice >_<

I want both but I just can't pick >_<

I want Mithra. Cause they look awesome. So do taru's. I want to do magic, but at the same time, I wanna hit some major damage when I get SAM.
I wanna go Taru. Cause I want be a SAM taru like prove everyone wrong that Taru's can do just as much dmg just as the other races. Not many meleeing taru's on Odin afais. I want Mithra, cause They are tall, and cause they look good in alot of the stuff. And they kick ass at meleeing. Probably not as much as a Galka or Elvaan. But I can't choose >_<. I don't want hume cause they are human. I don't want Elvaan cause they look just freaking ugly. Galka they look like something that comes out of me ***.

The stat differentials do exist, but 99.9% of them can be gotten around with playing skill and the right gear.

One of the funnest things in this game is seeing how much my tarutaru samurai can dish out while meleeing. I'm also a samurai, and while I'm more gear-dependant than other races, it's nice to see that I can outparse a hume, even an elvaan. The best part of it is the challenge..... I could be a cookie-cutter elvaan samurai, but it's a lot more fun leveling my tarutaru samurai.

While this isn't the main reason I chose tarutaru, it's still a great race to play. I'd rather look at a little diminuative kid on my screen, as opposed to a hulking galka.

The last reason I chose taru is the mp pool and intelligence. I'm one of the cookie cutter blms. >.>;

Do what Caspian said. You're going to be looking at this character for a long time, so pick the one you aren't going to get tired of looking at.

Purchase another Content ID or whatever it's called, and you can have both Tarutaru and Mithra.

It doesnt get any better looking than a Mithra casting magic. And I agree, they look great in most gear. I went for Mithra. Im pretty sure you could have fun with any race , even get to enjoy watching your char as it takes its steps towards making 75 and what not. I must say though , those little Taru's make me smile every time I see them. So darn cute.

I am a Manthra, and I have never been the victim of a lewd /tell. (Thank God) I like the Mithran race for a couple different reasons:

1. Look good in any kind of gear. {Mithra}+{Subligar}=OK! {Hume}{Galka}{Elvaan}+Subligar={Run Away!}
2. I plan on taking THF to 75, and while yes, skill>gear>race, Mithra still make the best THFs.
3. Best character animations. I like how they craft, fight, and spellcast.
4. I have a thing for cats. Not that I fantasize about Mithra (ewww =P), but I am the owner of 3 cats. They are just fun animals and I enjoy playing as one.

The point I am trying to make is to be the race you enjoy. Judging from what you said above, you seem to have more desire to be a Tarutaru, so go with that. All esle fails, you can go with what Itazura said and make 2 characters, one Taru, one Mithra. Play them both through to the SJ quest and see which you like best.

I had a mithra once... I actually hated the getting hit on so much it drove me off my old server... turned out to be a good thing though because I love my online family!~

Of course, what we're all trying to say (well, most of us) is that there is no tangible benefit to playing one race over the other. We just play the one we prefer, and we have a ball with it. So you should do the same.

To me it seems like as a Taru---ull get busted on more, and as a Mirtha ull get hit on more. I say go with Galka and dont worry about it(only thing is there are no female galka options). Other than that base it on where your home country is(if windy go with Taru, if Sandy or Bastok go with Mirtha).

Dont get me wrong , l may think Mithras are the best ''look'' but those little bobble heads are by far the cutest.

And as the LolElvaan race .... They make me want to throw my monitor out the window.

I couldn't play a taru and ever use fpv... I tried it on my mule and all I saw were galka and elvaan knees everywhere. Well... that and mithra crot... hmm... maybe taru isn't so bad after all.
