2nd try a success!

On my first try, I wound up with a chocobo with all poor stats (I had no clue what I was doing pretty much). However, I retired her and started again. I used the same egg (I believe it was faintly warm, but I could be wrong), and tried using pure Vomp Carrots as opposed to straight gyshal greens. Well, by the time by chick hatched, she already had substandard discernment. A few days later she had substandard recep. Now as she's reached her riding phase she has substandard discernment and a bit recep. SilentDestroyer, I am happy to say, is a red chocobo. ^_^

Congrats on the Red Chocobo!

btw, Is there any particular reason you decided to feed Vomp Carrots (increases STR and END) rather than Zegham Carrots (increases DIS and REC)? Just curious. Also, does your chocobo "gobble" up Vomp Carrots or just "munch contentedly"?

She just munched contentedly. I've heard various things abou the vomp and, originally, I was trying for a black. But I guess all the listening to music and interacting with other chocobos is what got the recep up. But since she's an adult, I'm going to try switching her over to Zegham carrots and see what happens.
