How is the best way to raise jueno fame? I'm asking because I want to do the quest to get the map to Delk's tower(i believe it is "the ant. collector") and also the Gobbie-bag 1 quest- but when I talk with the NPC they will not give me the quests. I figure it is because I need more Jeuno fame but after about 10 quests from each nation(along with the few I could get from Jeuno) but I still don't have enough fame. Can someone tell me how much fame I need to do these 2 quests, and how I would be able to raise my jeuno fame(my Bastok fame is lvl3-4) without having to do higher lvl(level 45 and higher) quests?

The best way to raise your Jeuno fame is to raise the fame in the other 3 nations (Bastok, Sandoria, Windhurst). If you really want to increase your fame quickly then try these two quests:

http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Only_The_Best
This will raise Bastok and Sandorian fame

http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Mandragora-Mad
This will raise Windhurst fame.

Jeuno fame is a rough average of your fame in the other three starting nations. If you further raise your fame there, it will in turn raise your fame in Jeuno.
This (http://ffxi.somepage.com/questdb/265) grants Jeuno fame directly and is repeatable, though when I was raising my Jeuno fame, I'd often forget to go until it was too late.

If you want a cheap and easy way to raise your fame in the 3 starting countries, try:
Selbina (http://ffxi.somepage.com/questdb/391) for Bastok and Sandy fame. or
Windy (http://ffxi.somepage.com/questdb/193) which requires Bastok to be in 1st or 2nd place in conquest.

Is there any relationship between the # of quests completed in each city and the level of fame(can I say do 5 more quests in each city to raise 1 level in each or does it not work that way?)

Is there any relationship between the # of quests completed in each city and the level of fame(can I say do 5 more quests in each city to raise 1 level in each or does it not work that way?) there kinda is, but no one's really taken the time to sit down and work it out (but it's definitely not a linear 5 quests = 1 level thing). furthermore, different quests give different amounts of fame (some give more than others) and on top of that, whether you are a resident of the nation and whether you are the starting race for that nation will also come into play.

usually what most people with do is find a nice easy one they can repeat over and over again and use the fame checker (http://ffxi.somepage.com/npcdb/list.php?type=8) to see their level.

another thing to watch out for is the fame you get for the Selbina quest "Only the Best" has a negative effect on your Norg fame. So if you ever want to quest the ninjutsu scrolls, i would seriously recommend you finish your run with the selbina one first.

No, its the actual level of fame you have. 1-10.
Different quests give different amounts of fame. I also never could quite figure out how the average works. I had hero fame in Bastok and Sandy, but only lvl 5 or 6 fame in Windy, but I still had hero fame in Jeuno. Getting hero fame with the Selbina quest will easily give you the required fame for all the quests you want to do, and then some. Plus the quest itself breaks even I think now.

This will raise Windhurst fame.

It is WINDURST. W-I-N-D then U-R-S-T. The "H" in it DOES NOT EXIST.

Sorry, but it irks me to hell when people do that.

Also for repeatable quests they give more for the intitial quest then a bit less for all turns after that.

How many times would I have to do the selbina quest to raise my Juneo fame to a rate where I can start doing the quests(assuming my lvls are:Bastok(3), Sand(1-2), and wind(1)---not sure of other areas(haven't checked)

Are there any good guides to which quests will give the best increases in fame for each city?

3 stacks of boyahda moss on your server will cost you 27k.
they will resell for 7200 a stack in the quest, losing you 1.8k a stack, or 5.4k total. Those three stacks of moss should be sufficient to you get you to you desired fame level.
You can also use La Theine Cabbage or Millioncorn and buy the products from npc's and lose next to no money at all.
No matter what you decide, for this quest I'd suggest doing it atleast 35-40 times, just to play it safe.

Also be sure to do the lamp-lighting quest in Lower Jeuno whenever it's available for quick and easy fame in Jeuno.

If you need other ideas for repeatable, easy quests, see the link in my signature. Like mentioned above, Only the Best and Mandragora Mad are generally your best options. Sometimes you can't get Cornettes easily, due to Bastok being in last place. See the link for situations like that.

Lots of the jeuno quests are locked until you meet certain conditions. One milestone is when you reach level 30 - the Bard quest will unlock. At level 20, you can do the Chocobo License quest, which in turn unlocks the Beastmaster flag quest when you reach level 30.

Once you have you fame in the three nations high enough, lots of other quests in Jeuno will unlock. Also, many of the quests here are in series such as Gobbiebag 1-6, Genkai 1-5, the Clock Tower ones, etc..
