FFXI Loading problem

hi i can access playonline but when i click play on ffxi, the screen goes black for a moment then returns to the viewer where it re logs on. can someone please help?

i just installed it today and updated it

Would be useful to know what version of the game you're using as well. If it's a PC, please provide information about your system specifications (hardware, operating system, etc.)

i have the vana'diel pc collection
as far as i can tell the computer has pentium4 processor an nvidia graphics card and the os is xp

nvm sorted i just had to uninstall the expansions and re-install them.
