Is pandamonium a good server for a new player?

I just started FFXI and was given pandamonium as a server and have a few questions? Is the server old? Whats the population size like? Are there many English speaking people there? Are the prices and economy screwed up like a few servers seem to be? Is it an over all good server for a newb?

All of the servers are "old". You are unlikely to find any heaily populated by newbs.

We really have no way to "compare" servers since most people only have accounts on one server, so anyone on your server would not know what the grass looks like on the other side and anyone on another server wouldn't know what it looks like on your side...

What I can show you, however, are the economy levels:

You will notice that the daily AH currency volume on Pandemonium is on the low end of the scale. This is usually indicative of a more newb-friendly economy since you start the game with only a paper ticket and some rather lackluster gear.

I started here back in 2005 whe nI started playing teh game. I quit 6 Months later and when I joined teh game a 2nd time I went to anotehr world. I have since quit agin cause of mone yissues, but when I retun to the game later IO might go back to this orginal world.
