Chocobo Sickness

Hi,
My chocobo has caught this weird love sickness three times now. Is there a way to prevent this or cure it?

I don't know of any way to cure it (including incessant mating), but SE said that now, sometimes, it will have a positive effect on your chocobo rather than a negative one.

Some folks have mentioned that they scolded their chocobo and that seemed to help. I usually let it run its course.

The last two times it had the sickness its attributes decreased and it's affection decreased, this time it doesnt seem to be happening.

love sickness should only slow down your stat developement by a bit... SE also mentioned it can now be positive effect too. It shouldn't be able to lower your stat directly.

I heard feeding celerity salad will fix it but I haven't tried.
Love sickness also means good time for breeding too from what I read.

Don't scold. Scolding is for when your chocobo get "spoiled"

I bred my choco last time she had the love sickness and got an egg but what do I do with all of the eggs you get?
I sold a chococard yesterday so maybe she is being bred today.

Celerity Salad does work, I've tried it. But it's SOOOOOOOOOO expensive! 95k a pop on Valefor Server unless you are high enough cooking *which I'm not*. I'm glad that now there are benefits to lovesickness considering it tends to happen to often to really afford all that friggin salad.

I haven't scolded mine for being in love, I have heard others mentioning that they have. As I said I usually let it runs its course, usually about 3-5 days

"Rest" no longer results in sleeping sickness so you can try that to "cure" lovesickness. If you need to wake your chocobo up, you can Scold it awake now.

I tried scolding once to remove the lovesickness. It didn't work and then I felt guilty as all get out.

My chocobo was lovesick twice, and both times was it cured after 1 day of resting. (This was before the last update.) I don't think this is a 100% cure as some people has reported that resting didn't cure their chocobo, but it seems that resting at least increases the chance for a cure.

Mine is finally over the love sickness and it didnt affect its attributes at all. :thumbsup:

Lol, my last chocobo when it got love sickness it was stuck in it for about 18 days. It was annoying because stats increased so slow. Didn't try the salad though but I had tried every care plan option I could and all the person care options and none seemed to change it. Even mated him for something like 12 times and no change (Though I'm sure he had to be a very happy chocobo with all that action :worry: ).
