Ok, so I just started playing around with the Peacemaker.
Pros
Damage is better than I thought it would be. Damage per shot is a little lower - in the 50 to 60s - but damage on Slug Shots feels about the same as before, give or take a little.
Peacemaker is good enough in competitive merit camps that I don't have to resort to Quick Draw to pull, so I can reserve QD for Sleeps and Dispels in addition its original functions. +5 AGI and -2 enmity also nice.
So overall, awesome for pulling and we don't lose much damage for using it.
Cons
While it does lower QD resists thanks to the +5 AGI, the QD damage is lowered, probably due to the 13 DMG of the gun. I was using NQ Hexagun before and like Trump and others after 40, I averaged 180 on an unresisted QD, no staves or Magic Attack bonuses. Now its doing 160 max. But I guess for a higher shot rate, the trade-off isn't too bad.
But wow, you can really burn bullets and maybe lose track of your buff cycle if you get a bit too trigger-happy. So watch yourself on that. One of the pros to /NIN was that you don't burn as much bullets as /RNG, but Peacemaker throws that tiny perk over RNG right out the window.
Overall, its a very nice gun, it makes my RNG cry, but my RNG can get a Loxley bow and STFU.
Recently got my Joyeuse, too. Once I catch up sword skill a bit, the TP build between these two will be absolutly insane. Especially considering I'm usually doing Samurai Roll in PTs whether we have a Samurai or not.
Curious to see how it stacks up against Shark Gun and Martial Gun, I currently don't have mercenary rank for Shark or spare gil for Martial at the moment. Peacemaker is most definately going to be my primary gun for Merit and QDs, though.
