So I ran into this Taru BRD in the Teahouse and triggered the Saga of the Skyserpent. The story interested me, so I looked up a couple more details on wiki.ffxilopedia. Says go to H-11 in Halvung, click the ??? behind the brass door. Sounded simple enough.

I get in Halvung and work toward H-11, turn a corner, Archaic Mirror with true sight mobs. Eek. So I pull up my map and find a way around that. I get to a big open area where it looked like an Archaic Mirror used to be, but I don't see any TS mobs, so I run through.

Apparenly I overlooked Dorgerwor The Astute. True Sight, he spotted me. Thankfully, the Eruca were on sleeping hours and Astute is a RNG. I slip on my Olduum Ring, start running and port out soon after.

I entered Halvung originally from the main entrance in Thickets and saw another way to get in from Wajaom Woodlands. It would have put me closer to H-11, but I have no idea where that Woodlands entrance is. I do know of other ways into Halvung from Subterrane and the new Thickets camp, but that new entrance has Puddings, True sight and an Archaic Mirror, so that's out for a solo attempt.

Should I just get a PT in on this one and kill our way through to the quest objective? Or is it indeed soloable?

Also, what other quests that give IS and Gold Currency? I'm not in a farming mood and I do like the Aht'Urghan quests I've done so far. I find them humorous and exciting, so i wouldn't mind doing more of them.

Well, I got it done, Halvung entrance was down of the far west side of Wajoam Woodlands near the watchtower. From there, the ??? was pretty simple to get to, just gotta time dropping invis right since puddings and trolls are all over the H-10 section of the map.

It was pretty easy overall and for such an easy quest, it had quite an involving story. It added a lot of background and character to the people you encounter in the ToA missions, similar to what the Star Onion Brigade quests did for Rank Missions in Windurst.

Yeah I did it as soon as they released it. Was much fun but sadly destroyed my General Gjaudlegegtoon fantasy.
so he didn't fight Cerb for that sword. bummer but at least I know what the sword represents!
I can't wait till some more serpent general quests come out.
