After a 2 year lapse, I'm getting back into the game. Unfortunately, POL can't restore my old character so I have to start from scratch. I had a 63 THF/NIN when I left and kind of thought about doing the same again... although SAM does perk an interest. How are THF's dmg wise these days? Do they still shine with SATA+DE on numbers against other high lvl jobs with THF sub? I loved DE and always smiled when I saw some monsters HPs drop after an uber SATA hit... but I do seem to remember that SAM & DRK with THF subs could do simliar. What do you all think? Should I jump on the THF bandwagon again or should I head to SAM? I know SAM are the TP kings, but I'd love to do some dmg once again.

Take a look at the pre-existing threads on thf. They pretty much explain what's going on with the job these days. (Plus there are a lot of new threads on thf)

For SATA + DE in the past, nowadays a lot of THF use Assassin + TA + DE after level 60, thus no need for Trick partner to 1st provoke or turn the mob. There are adjustment to TP gain for 2-handed weapon, and low delay weapon can go below 5 TP per hit... A lot of changes for THF in past 2 years, you better check out theexisting threads ^^;

You should be fine no matter what level if you know your role. SAM can still get TP fine, even thiefs can. Like Celeal said, but you can still do it the old way if you please.
