Xp in Beseige

I seem to have the habit of being dead when an hour-long beseige ends and I dont gain any xp. Its getting frustrating to the point that Id rather not go after mobs with ridiculous AOE attacks or even any mob after a certain period of time. It's not fun anymore.

Can this be changed? At least give half of the total Xp if you happen to be dead at the time of the retreat.
