Is FFXI coming out in America for PS2??

I was just wondering if the Playstation 2 version of Final Fantasy XI in America was officially announced yet

The only thing that was offically confirmed recently was the PC version. I haven't heard any news on the PS2 in awhile.

My PC doesn't meet the minimum req. I don't think. That's why I want to PS2 version. I just hope it comes out.

Do you know where that tester is for the PC to see if it meets the req?

If FFXI comes to North America for PC, then there is no doubt it will be coming for PS2. The PS2 Version is will almost positively be released before the PC Version. Once main reason that I say this is because the PC Version is a PORT of the PS2 Version. So, why would a game's PORT come out before the ORIGINAL?

(BTW, I have my PS2 Version of FFXI completely prepaid for at my local EB. I'm pretty confident that if EB is allowing people to put money down on it, then it is coming to NA for sure. They had to have a reasonable source to allow preorders on it...wouldn't you think? These are just my thoughts.

nothing has been officially confirmed as yet. also, EBgames.com's release date is completely fictional. they've changed it before, and it even says taht it isn't confirmed. I would expect a release a month or two after the Square Enix merger is complete. I wouldn't even be suprised by an April 1st release to celebrate the merger.
