ya i kind a wanted to know the same thing because i have a 15g hard drive and a 40 g hard drive and the 15 is my main hard drive and i would like to put ffxi on my 40 g

It doesn't matter what drive you install the program to.

As for as installing PlayOnline Viewer and Final Fantasy XI, you can install it on any drive that has space, except for:
DirectX drivers
some system and registry files/settings

You may also need to adjust your TEMP directory to another drive if you are absolutely are THAT low on space.
