Hi-o all,

So I've been levelling nin, rng, and cor (rng to sub cor, nin to sub rng) and in my last 2 pt's I got in with a bard. So we were Smn,Brd,Cor,Nin,Rng & Blm, and we could not be stopped. I never saw the mages below 3/4 Mp and we were killing fast.

But I got to wondering between the Brd & myself who was providing the stronger buffs. Having only dabbled in Brd I thought I'd bring the question here.

Between Brd & Cor who provides the stronger buffs?
FYI, this isn't a war-generating post, I really am curious.

Would have to be BRD, the BRDs are much more focused and encompass more then the COR can do. Most of the CORs buffs are to specific for use and still all deal with a gamble.

However I do believe that BRDs abilities stacked with a CORs when focused right could make some deadly combinations. Basically the BRD and COR is almost like 2 BRDs just that 1 BRD is able to dish out some nice Ranged damage and has effects that are not as guarenteed.

while I don't have numbers to back up my thoughts, I'm almost certain that Bard wins on +attack and +acc songs, for instance. Also, they have Haste+ and Cors don't. However, It takes Bard 2 songs to get mp regen to 3/tick vs one COR roll (that does give 3/tick more often than not, doesn't it? >.>).

In my opinion, The buffs that S-E wanted COR to focus on were the more job-enhancing such as Fighter's Roll and even Monk's Roll (whatever it's called).

COR buff is stronger when a required job is present, otherwise BRD wins.

I started COR and my friend started BRD at the same time, and we have partied together from level 1. Every party we have been in, has pretty much been the best party in that level range either of us has ever been in. COR+BRD is almost unfair.

As far as who's buffs are stronger, you gotta go with brd...BUT!!! while the BRD puts a static number on you (+25attack) COR throws down +%

I just dinged 40 tonight, but as we level it seems like my chaos roll is catching up to what he can do with his minuet. Add them together, and you get some very happy meeles.

To all COR's out there, if you haven't already, find a BRD to exp with, you will be amazed how well it works, and with prelude I eat sis kebabis over sushi, and put up some pretty nice numbers.

If we're talking about 1 song vs. 1 roll, it's pretty close... COR probably wins with that job in party, BRD probably wins without.

However, BRD can stack two of the "same" song, while COR cannot.
