Is this true about Dark Knights

Is it true that when a two handed sword or sythe is equipped on a dark knight that level is 30 and up will have their strength doubled? I heard this somewhere on gamefaqs.

DK's power does increase but not doubled. And it's not just to the 2 handed weapons. Also Dk gets additional usable ability to make him stronger, usually if dk gets stronger it's compensated by turning the defense weaker.
