Armor / Clothing Question

Heya, guys. Yes, I can not wait for FFXI either. But a question has been on my mind. Say you become a Dragoon, or a Ninja, or a samurai. How does armor and clothing work ? If I became Dragoon, let's say, would I have any choice over my armor color, whether I have to wear a helmet or not, etc...? Or does every dragoon look like the ones in the picture, with the blue Dragon Armor ?

As I understand it there are different typs and styles of armor and clothing. But I could be wrong.

You can equip any armor you own as long as you fit the level req. and the have the right job equipped. So, no not all dragoons look the same (thank God!)
