Hi,

I have read other threads in this subsection, and followed advice to fish on the bridge in the Mines, after the bloke lets you through.

I brought 60 little worms with me, and tried 3 different rods, (Willow, Yew and Bamboo), and haven't caught ANYTHING - not a sausage!

Even when the "I have a good feeling about this one" message comes up, I lose my catch.

Am I doing something wrong? Are you supposed to be pressing keys or something when the avatar is sweating?

Any help would be appreciated. :)

My Fisher rank is still zero, by the way. :(

Do you know how to reel fish in?

I guess I don't. I tried various buttons, but when nothing worked, I assumed it did it automatically.

Okay, so I'm a n00b at fishing, LOL. How do you reel fish in?

To reel the fish in...

When the rod pulls to your character's right, press the left direction button. When the rod pulls to your character's left, press the right direction button.

Your goal is to reduce the fish' "HP". When that bar gets to zero, hit the Enter/X/Accept button to reel it in.

Thanks ever so much; guess I'll try again, once this mega service is over.

On your keyboard on the number pad use the left and right buttons. If your cameria is facing the back of you character and the rod moves to the left, push the right button and if the rod moves to the right, push the left button. You will want to hold the opposite button your rod goes to until it changes direction. This will deplete the fish's energy and once its down to 0 then hit enter to finish the catch.

Thanks both, I know it was probably a silly question.

Thanks both, I know it was probably a silly question. Not silly at all. Fishing especially has undergone a major revision and I know it's not easy finding all the fishing changes listed on the PlayOnline site.

To add to Skoal's advice, some like me find it easier to turn the camera so you are looking at your character's face. This way, when the rod moves left, you can move the controller left or hit 4 on your number pad. If it goes right, move the controller right or hit 6 on the number pad.

As for silly questions, never be afraid to ask them when you're trying something new. We all have to learn somehow.
