After soloing for a while, I started duoing with a friend at 68. And it was good. Qiqirn Archaologists not only made us giggle like children when they ran off, but they are squishy. 5kish an hour works for me.

Anyway, we reckon they should be good untill we hit 70, but after that, we are not quite sure where to go. Anyone have any suggestions? ToAU is good, mainly cause we like sanction refresh (who doesn't?).

The blms in my ls call the area behind the gates in Mount Zhayolm blm heaven. They usually duo their merits there on wamoura or puddings if those are taken.

You have to find a ??? that moves around in the zone to get a cast metal plate. FFXI-Atlas has the possible locations marked: http://www.ffxi-atlas.com/maps/mount-zhayolm/general/

Make sure you examine the gate first though. The ??? will be on one of those manhole cover thingies...

And thanks Task - I'll take a wander up and check it out. Just a little wary as we will be 70. Still, we will probably try to grab another blm and make it a trio...

I duoed with my friend once on wamouras crawlers, but we died like twice each, i was the only one subbing rdm, so gravity only popped very slowly.. long recast.. sometimes it would get resisted, and sometimes it would wear off too quickly.

I believe if i had a couple more merits here and there it wouldve been much easier, i only have ele skill +4, mp+3 and thunder+2 merits, along with +2 on evasion skill

Well my friend is our other ls rdm, so we have no problems subbing it, and we both have at least 4 enfeebling magic merits, so hoping that will help us. Also, if there is another blm seeking, we will probably pick them up as well - spread the love as it were... I'm just a bit wary of the princes at 70, and wondered if anyone had any other suggestions.

Wamoura Princes are pathetic. They're slower than you are, even without Gravity. Even if things go totally crazy you can always run away from them without ever getting hit. :P

I duo with my cousin off the Wamouras too. Despite the fact that I have whm subbed and he has rdm subbed, it goes very smoothly.

And here's the strategy we use:

Gravity sticks >> Tier 3 spell, move back >> (him) Tier 4 spell, move back >> rinse, repeat

Gravity doesn't stick >> (me) stun >> (him) Sleep 2 >> (him) Bind >> (him) Tier 4 Spell >> (me) Tier 3 spell shortly afterward >> if mob is close, (him) Sleep 2 >> rinse, repeat.

It's not all that bad. He's an elvaan who only has 3 or some merits, and most of the time, gravity does not get resisted, so we're able to get very smooth xp here.

As a side note, they're moreso retarded. Whenever gravity sticks, more than often it will come to a dead halt and not do anything for 5 seconds.

Had the chance to try Princes out with a blm friend tonight. He was 75 and I dinged 73 on the first chain. It was about 5500 an hour for me, probably better than 6k for him with no ring. Not bad considering how easy the things are, and we could probably improve that once we get our rhythm down to hit chain 5 more consistently.

If only I could hit 70 so I could duo em.

I have ended up soloing most of it Onionsoldier, all the way from 63. It's been slow, frustrating at times, but less frustrating than lfp...
