See, this is why I stuck with Allakhazam. I don't buy the "Alla and IGE are bedfellows" argument anyway, but it's nice to see more than one new post daily.

Anyway, continuing my response from there...

I was just trying to joke around. I didn't expect to be put on the list, and I'm sorry you took offense to that.

You and I have different opinions on what officers can and should do. Part of the reason we have a tree of officers (we, referring to any linkshell in particular... I am in no way involved with TCO) is to keep one person from making rash decisions. This is a page from the private history of GC (which is not an HNMLS, but we have a number of officers and a large member pool), but after I returned from my break and started taking an active roll again, one of the other people in the group referred to "Ren's Law", which is what happens when Ren makes a decision based on people's needs with little regard for the other officer's opinions.

Regardless of whether or not it's the right thing to do (in some cases, the officers agreed with me... they just wanted to feel heard), Orion is at fault for not bothering to inform the other officers of Zuzupetals' origins. But your assumption that the entire linkshell is at fault because of the neglect of one person is expecting far too much from them. It sounds like it'd be an easy thing to do considering your outside role in the situation, but it's really not. If you were trying to lead a linkshell and you used the iron fist that you're requesting, chances are people wouldn't be too happy in their new community.

Also, you shouldn't just immediately draw such a conclusion and post this stuff if they haven't had enough time to take action. It's almost like you're trying to scare them into "shaping up". I don't think that's necessary. It's just adding more fuel to the HNM Wars, which are arguably ruining this game just as much as the gilsellers are.

I'm sorry for what I said in the Alla thread, but I still think you're expecting way too much from TCO's other officers, and I think you reacted a little too harshly/quickly given the circumstances.

I don't see any other outcome for this thread except a flame war.

There are plenty of places to discuss drama if you wish in FFXI. This forum is not one of them. If this is spillover from Alla, please send the discussion back over there.

Thread closed.
