Nope. Atleast no legal ways that I'm aware of.

I believe it is legal to download the client but you need your activation codes for it to work anyway so you must own a copy.

P2P software would probably be your best bet.

There's no copy protection on the disks themselves (i.e. the registration codes aren't tied to a particular set of disks). If you have a friend who has the disks, just borrow theirs to install.

I can't recommend downloading anything executable from a P2P network since you can literally get anything - viruses, malware, or otherwise. That and we have a strict rule against discussion of warez here (though in this case I'm letting it go as long as no one provides a link, as the issue of whether a copy of the client software is actually warez is a bit fuzzy - I'd hardly expect Square-Enix to force an existing player to buy another copy when they're already paying a monthly fee).

Considering a new set of disks these days (incs all 3 expansion) are very cheap now, get a new set. Make a copy of the disks and keep them safe. I beleive the new DVD set has alot of the older updates added so their is less to update than what you would have to if you had the original disks (can someone confirm/deny this please)

Putting myself on the line here.

What is wrong with you people, do you frisbee with random cds you have on the shelves? Is it so hard to keep a disk in a safe spot? o.O; so many people with the same problem, its aggrivating :O...

P2P software would probably be your best bet. actually it's not. you would be partaking in piracy of digital content.

only thing you can do now is 1) purchase a new copy of the game 2) try to get a buddy pass which will give you download access of POL viewer and the base game (no expansions).

The sad truth is that Jet Li started it all.

After watching Black Mask all CDs (or any shiny disc-like objects for that matter) became equipable as ammo and get thrown at least once.

On the plus side it really helps ya skill up throwing in the real.

My DVD Rom drive decided to break the same week that ToAU came out, and since I'm too lazy/cheap to get it fixed (especially because I'm sure I'll be upgrading soon anyway) I used my key with a download. I consider myself lucky that I got nothing from it - I generally hate those P2P sites because of all the bad things I've heard about them - but it worked out this time. I hope (knock on wood) that I don't have to reformat ever, because I still won't have a working DVD Rom drive.
