Ok now there has been so much conflicting info on stats.

For example, some people say INT is black magic casting power and MND is white magic casting power while others insist that MND is actiually Magic resistance while INT is (all)Magic casting power.

Also for the bows, I've heard damage is based on DEX and I've also heard it's based on STR.

...and these are only a couple of discrepancies with the stats.

So could anyone maybe make out a list on what exactly each stat means? I'd really appreciate it.

Coming from experience.. INT is the magic's damage decider for all magic users, and MIND or SPIRIT(in some games) is magic defense. Most RPG games go by this formula, and I'm pretty sure that Square kept things this way for FFXI.

i think its dex for bows.

nope, Dex doesnt effect bows in the slightest, its Agility (dont ask me why)

I thought agility was for how fast you could strike/hit with bows, dex was the damage multiplier, and str was the hit %

AGI for most mmorpgs is your atk speed and flee rate, and DEX raises ranged weapon damage and increases ur hit chance for melee weapson

oh so ur actually certain its DEX which raises ranged weapons dmg. Meh i'll just wait and get the na version game and see.

It SHOULD be DEX, lol i dont know why Square made it AGI.

yeah Agility normally effects your evasion rate and the like. But i heard for FFXI Agility is what also effects your bow efficiantness, i could be wrong though, wouldnt be the first time ;). Doesnt really make sence for the defenition of what Agility and Dexterity is....Dexterity should be the one to determine this.

I think Agi makes your bow efficiency because it corresponds to hit%. So hitting more often leads to a higher damage total, but I doubt ift also affecst the strenght of a weapon. I'd bet on Str/Dex and IMO it would be str for bows and dex for xbows and guns.

Yeah but usually its DEX that defines hit% in most MMORPGs, or any RPG.

Dex is usually your efficiantness with a weapon, like how well you can use it, and Agility how well you can say dodge someone elses weapon.

So i dont know WHY Agility would effect your bow, lol. But thats just what i hear Square did for FFXI.
