Currently, I'm finishing to lvl BST to 75 and storing gear to lvl my DRG, on the advice of a friend I'm stocking up on acc gear, planning to use meat as food.
But seeing as my friend is going on his big horse about WAR dommages, ( or maybe he did not accepted the fact that a BST in SH can outdommage a WAR in hauby ) I would like some input from experienced DRG.
For now it seems to me that going all acc with the acc traits of DRG can be a bit of overkill.
My currents plan are to keep my acc stuff and try to mix it with STR and attack when I can affrod it ... but how ? Or maybe go for something like : enough acc to hit ( gear ), STR ( remainning gear slots ) and attack ( food ). I'm a bit new to melee jobs.
Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

I do not expect that i am either right or nor do i consider myself anything of a knowledgeable player outside of DRG, i have noticed a HUGE increase in my dps since balancing out my acc/attack power. I used to focus on pure dex, but i hit like a weakling. I am old skool so i still use my Meat Mithkabobs, and this DEF helps out in the realm of attack power, but i have heard that using sushi with Atk gear is good too =p
I would say go with what you feel is better for DPS(damage per second). It isnt like you cant sell back a piece of gear that you find out isnt helpful in increasing it.

The few times I could build enough acc to hit 90% of the time or more, and ate meat, I was amazed how much more damage I did. You can't overkill acc, well, maybe at 75 in merit pts, I'm not sure. But before end-game, get as much acc as you can and eat meat.
I've always done the acc/att build, and ate sushi. It's not as good as all acc + meat. Wish I had done this sooner, but I stopped leveling drg until I can get all the acc I can. By the time I have all my gear, I should have between +56 and +66 acc.
Carry str equipment with you, to switch in for weapon skills.

I found that in earlier levels it was best to stack accuracy. Sushi helps a ton though so adding in some str, dex or atk gear and eating sushi does well too. Subjobs have some bearing as well. I found I hit a tiny bit more often subbing thief but I hit harder overall subbing war.
It depends on how you level as well. If you end up in a lot of IT++ cookie cutter styled parties then its best to stick with ACC. If you find parties that like to chain a lot of VTs then pile on the attack gear and food.
Two general pieces of gear advice as well: 1) use lances. the damage more then makes up for delay. 2) get some Battle Gloves when you hit 14. They are invaluable and can be used for many many levels.
