usb modem?

im a little confused. i read the faq and it said that you need a broadband connection, but if you have a 56k, thats ok, you just need a separate usb modem. what is this? does that mean i have to buy something separate to use it, cause i only have 56k? i have a network adapter, is that good enough? if not, and i have to buy something new, how much does it cost? thanks in advance.

If you use 56K, all you need is a network adapter and a phone line connection.

:cool: ok i was just wondering for the people who r playing now, does 56k really pull through?? i just watched music video #4 and at one point of that video there was a lot of stuff going on and the lil chat area/status area, was going super fast.. so i was guessing that the player Ping/Pong? has a broadband connection. but i just wanted to ask if the lag for having a 56k was very bad or not.

I read somewhere in this forum that connection speed doesn't matter too much in game. Everyone's connection is filtered down to the same speed to cut down on lag and such. The only difference it makes is you can download patches faster.

i forgot where I read it,but it said that 56k users may need a seperate USB modem.But that was like last year when it was rumored to come out in February.Things could have changed though.
