You dont... If you rea the terms and agreement carefully it says.. You wont have to pay monthly fees, But you must send the equipment back when your done.

Hmmm pay to take part in a beta??? I know it does'nt look that way but... we WORK for them, when whe beta test! Company do public beta like this just not to pay for intern testers. They need us! and we help them. If any company ever make pay someone for a beta... it would be a REAL outrage

no seriously this is pure abusing. It's them that shoul pay us for beta testing(exagerating). It's to bad some companies think they can abuse their power over fans like us.

The worst thing is... if square-enix would have make us pay for beta, I'm pretty sure that a lot of ppl from this forum would have signed anyway.

Because they'de take you for everything you're worth. I think it's in the agreement you HAVE to send it back..

Lol yeah, i dont think they will give anyone a free HDD, not smart for them. Thats alot of money for them to spend.

Also Ragnarok Online doesnt count, that is the lamest MMORPG ive ever seen. the fact they make you PAY to beta test is VERY unprofessional, like the rest of the game. That game will not sell many copies at all in the US because it is comepletely inferior to all other MMORPGs on the market right now.

Square will not make you pay to play the Beta test. Its not proffesional for a company to do so, your not Beta testing to play the game for free. Your beta testing to help them make the game perform at its best and help them sell more copies.

Well considering what has to be supplied to get the game to work, if they do anything like other beta tests I've seen then most likely at the end of test they'll give you and option. 1) Buy the HDD and they may let you keep the game free as a courtesy to their customer (The company I work for does stuff like that all the time and our business is doing great). 2) If you don't buy the HDD then you are to return it within a specified amount of time along with the game (Because without the HDD you have no use for it, that and they could see it as potential risk that could cause problems. Like for instance that person turning around and selling it before the scheduled release stuff like that can be very problematic for the company).

yeah, thats very likely. I dont know if square will give testers an option to buy the HDD off them, would be nice though.

Yeah this would be a really great option. But I don't think they'll make you return the game (only the hdd) 'cause we won't get the FULL game... maybe it will be full, but one thing is sure the beta will not be compatible with the real game.
