So I'm posting this Survey on other FF-Forums as well :)
I'm a student from Germany and I'm writing an essay for school next year.
The Topic is "influences of FF (and other games) on your life and society". Therefore it would be nice if you could answer the following questions and post them here.
I know some questions can't be answered exactly but please try to nevertheless.

10) What is your current Playtime? (I do NOT mean the time when you play, but the time you played FF altogether) - I believe I hit about 54 days, I checked it a few days ago.
11) How many Characters do you have? And what's the highest level? - Three, two of them are mules though, and aren't leveled at all. My main is a 75MNK/37WAR, with various others leveled, currently working on WHM24, and SMN2, soon
12) With how many do you "really" play? (not just use for Bazaar etc) - Answered above, just one
13) On how many days a week do you play? - Everyday, but sometimes I'm only checking on my Chocobo/Gardening and logging right afterwards.
14) Are there any days you're always playing? (like always playing on your day-off, weekends etc) - Tuesdays and Fridays are my days off, so I'll be on from about 2pm(after school), usually late into the night.
15) What's the average time you play? (time you leave character on for bazaar not included) - I'd say about 5 hours is my average.
16) How often do you go online to check the Auction House or Plants (for example)? Or check ffxiah? - Never for AH, once a day for plants and Choco.
17) What was the longest time you ever played without a break? (Reason?)
18) What was the longest time you didn't play? (Reason?) - If I remember right, 14 hours, I was in a good party with people, and we each got about...5 or so levels, and everyone had stayed, so it was a good time for all of us(This was about at the 50 range, we had to move a couple times during our super long party @_@).
19) How often/long do you leave your Character on? (bazaar for example) - I avoid it if I can, cause I wanna check my play time far in the future and have it be accurate.
20) Were there any positive Incidents because of FFXI? (like making friends or got to know ppl in your city etc...) - Well, I haven't met any people I play with, but I have really good friends I've met on XI, and I talk to them on the phone fairly often.
21) Were there any negative Incidents because of FFXI? (like break-up/divorce, moved out etc...) - Other than my mom constantly telling me to "Get off that f***ing game." not really.
22) Do you have more reallife-friends or online-friends? With whom do you spend more time with? - More real-life friends, but lately I've been spending more time with my online friends than them, but there are kinda certain circumstances because of that. :x
23) How often do you go out with friends? - At least once or twice a week, when all of us can meet.
24) How many of your friends also play games? - All my friends play games.
25) And how many of them play FF? - All of them play Final Fantasy, but not XI, however hard I've tried to get them to play. :(

24) I'd say 100% of my friends play video games of some sort, not necessarily MMOs though. Even my wife will melt the TV playing Dr. Mario.
25) 3 play FFXI with me, though only 2 regularly (static), 1 rather infrequently (WoW was his first love)

When I moved out of state for two years, I was able to keep in touch with the majority of my real-life friends, and still do stuff with them via the game.

Not particularly.

Definitly more real-life friends, though most also play FFXI. The get more of my time out of game, as well as most of my in-game time.

Every 1-2 days.

I don't think I have any friends that don't play games of some sort.

~15, most of which are on the same server, in the same linkshell, and live in the same apt. complex in real-life.

Whatever that essay is for, if you decide to take the data from old posts, make sure that you clearly state that fact. DO NOT say you did a survey to collect all those data, as there's a huge difference. (Of course, 3 posts above are indeed YOUR survey, so there's nothing wrong to say that for them, and whatever the answers you got at Allakhazam.)

To some extent, the reference section is the most important part of paper/essay, and must be correctly filled.

10) I think I just passed 300 days on my main character in retail FFXI for total playtime.
11) 4 characters, 1 main with 2 jobs at 75 and one at 74.
12) Of my 300+ days, probably 250 or more are actually "real play time"
13) Less than I used to. I play perhaps three days a week on average now.

I got into a really efficient party late at night, and there were no replacements for my job class, so I chose to stay and earn more EXP, instead of sleep. Also, one time I stayed up all night in order to camp a monster respawn, after I got the time of death, for a piece of equipment I wanted (Joyeuse - Charybdis)

18) What was the longest time you didn't play? (Reason?): Probably about a month and counting. My video card shorted out, and FFXI is unplayable because of it.

20) Were there any positive Incidents because of FFXI?: (like making friends or got to know ppl in your city etc...): I and my real-life friends have met a group of online friends. We play together as much as possible, just for fun. It's great ^^

21) Were there any negative Incidents because of FFXI?: (like break-up/divorce, moved out etc...): One time, one of my party members used a cheat of some sort to move his dead body (the party died) and seek help. This person got put in jail after this happened, and somehow, everyone thought I reported him, even though this was not true. I was harassed by that person and his linkshell that night. That is the most negative thing that's happened.

22) Do you have more reallife-friends or online-friends?: With whom do you spend more time with? Most of my real life friends are my online friends. I have some Online-only friends, but the number is equal, I would say.

I have several friends in the real world as well. I play in golf tourneys and bowl in a league every Monday night. Also have people over to watch football and shoot pool (and play video games of course).
