...than by busting some heads.
I originally posted this message on Allakhazam because GC has always seemed to use that site as it's second home, not realizing that the majority of its users jumped ship to Dreams in Vana'diel after the webmaster sold his soul to IGE. So I'm posting this again, hopefully catching the attention of more former linkshell members.
Today marks the two-year anniversary of the formation of the GarrisonCentral linkshell on Seraph. What began with one battle order in North Gustaberg has grown into a healthy, successful community that has always found a second home here on Allakhazam.
To celebrate this occasion, we have scheduled a number of events on our website and in-game over the course of the next week. The most notable of these events is our fourth Ballista Royale tournament where members of the linkshell square off against each other in an environment far from the outposts that we're so familiar with. Using extra items won from our regular Garrison events, we have accumulated a prize pool of close to five million gil to be used as prize money in this and other events.
As we did a year ago before a similar tournament, GarrisonCentral is extending an invitation to all players on Seraph to join in the celebration and participate in the tournament. While we can't offer a share of pool, we would be happy to welcome anyone that has done a Garrison with us in the past as a way to look back on how we've grown over the years and all the friends we've made in the process.
The Ballista will take place in the Diorama Abdhaljs-Ghelsba at 9:00pm EST on Thursday, September 14. Linkshell members will begin assembling by Tillecoe in Ru'Lude Gardens starting 30 minutes beforehand so teams can be chosen. It would also be appreciated if you reply to this thread, contact me via /tell in game, or post on our website to make your interest known so we can save a place for you.
Following the official one-hour match, the remaining time in the Diorama will be reserved for free-for-alls using a slightly more chaotic rule set. This is when you can play mean tricks, do your 1 vs. 1's, and break the rules by scoring 17 petras at once after you get Gate Breach.
To everyone reading this who has contributed to the continuing success of the linkshell, my sincerest thanks for your help, your humor, and your time. You all are the mortar and the bricks that built this linkshell up, and you have earned the right to stand proudly at the top. Thank you very much.
I hope to see a few old friendly faces in Jeuno next Thursday. I hope equally for a chance to bash them up a bit. All in the name of friendly competition, of course.
As always, information about GarrisonCentral, MercenaryCentral, and GC's Ballista Royale IV can be found on our website, Seraph Central (http://www.seraphcentral.net).
