Important Additional Information on Summoner Quest

1. Carbuncle's Ruby (?uƒJ?[ƒoƒ“ƒNƒ‹‚Ì?g‹Ê?v) is dropped almost only on the day of 'Fire' (?u‰Î?v). :eek:

2. You don't have to trade it on the door of the House of the Hero in Windurst Walls. You just have to investigate the door while you have the ruby.

3. You can see weathers and get the light of the weathers if the weather is currently on of the 7 weathers you want to experience, even though you enter with Teleport magics. But if the weather change takes place after using a Teleport magic, you have to change areas again to get the light of the weather.

Has been updated with some weapon skill ratings for Samurai, Summoner and Ninja. Most are as predicted.

Summoner really really sucks with 1h staff (i didn't dare try dagger) at low levels, and the skill is pre-maxed.

This sounds like a ploy to free up the leeches a bit. We got two within two hours, pretty sure they were on separate days and I don't know if either was a fire day.

How exactly do u check what type of day it is (like how would i check to see if it is a fire day, or to see if it is a stone day...etc etc)

i already got two of the items, and currently have a lv8 summoner, but i need to help out a friend of mine and if someone could tell me how to check the days that would be great~~

yes~ i got it on a stone day~ i think which is right after the fire day? i remember that becoz i was hoping that the stone will have a higher drop rate on a fire day. during the fire day, a jpn player said that he got the stone, and i think it'd make sense. i hunted about 5-6 more leeches on that fire day, but still no drop, then i think it came to the stone day, hunted for another 20 mins but still no item... was getting a little pissed off (it's been about 14hrs) and i started to leave the room before i got a leech on my way out... from which i got the item for Carbuncle ^^ /cheer~

Fire day might not be only day to get the item drop. But it might just mean the drop rate is higher on Fire day.
As for the higher drop rate of Stone day, it might be because it is the following day of Fire day.

I also heard higher drop rate on fine days.

The day of the week in Vana D'iel is displayed on the left side above the log window. If it is not displayed, it is because you have selected 'Corrent Time' (?uŒ»?ÝŽž???v) from the menu. Please select the menu command again, and you'll see the day of the week again.

You can use /clock to show the current Vana'Diel date and Earth Date.
Also below your radar you will have a realtime Vana'Diel with day sign showing up too...

Fire day is definately the key. It took me 5 minutes total, to get the drop item for Summoner. Went to Shakrami on fire day, 4th or 5th leech dropped it. :thumbsup:

fire day is better for hunting, but also, if u kept hunting weaker leeches, drop rate would be bad. just like other items, weak monsters (compared to ur lvl) don't drop items too often. if u havent got the item yet, try to hunt one in new area. ive heard drop rate in new area was pretty good:)
