Another question about adv. jobs

Are there any pre-requisites to get advanced jobs like in Final Fantasy Tactics? In the expansion, would you need to be a warrior in order to be the samurai? Thief>ninja? Or can anyone just complete the samurai quest?

Put simply, no, having any job above lv30 will allow to accept an adv job quest...

However, for some quests for advanced jobs its recommended that certain things be done, or certain criteria met (For example, in order to do the DRK quest, you have to be able to use the Chaos Bringer Sword given to you, so you must have a lv10 WAR or higher, or for the SMN quest, you'll need to be able to access some high level areas to experience certain weather patterns...especially Dark weather)
