there are 2 ways to obtain the pass, one is pay 148,000G, another is do a quest. get 3 treasure key from 3 places, ghelsba, giddeaus and palborough mines. the monster above seems to drop the keys, so good luck (maybe spoiler)

Been doing it yesterday ;) I didn't post the info so I wouldn't have more competition from the importers :biggrin:

The first 2 keys were easy. Dropped after like 4-5 fights. But Giddeus was awful... Way too much competition.

I'm now in palborough since 12 hours.. well ..and got about 4-7 enemies cuz it totally crowded all the time.. I ll get crazy or paying 148k :biggrin:

btw. why don't drop the gobus in delkf. tower anymore items.. it was such an good money making place.. but now.. >< Killed about 3-4h and not even 1 item ... fufu

Indeed the key hunt was mizerable. If not for my patience I would have given up. The other 2 places were relatively OK because they are wide areas, but Palborough takes the cake! It's narrow and confined and Taunting is easier. I was waiting in there for 9 hours with no results.

My lucky break came though, when Square had an emergency maintainence halfway ^_^. When I logged back in as soon as I could, it was empty and I went about hunting happily until the crowds came back. lol

Question on Giddeus key. Where are Yagudo Votary, Yagudo Theologist, and Yagudo Priest, and are they NMs? I'm getting quite frustrated looking for them:( Help would be greatly appreciated.

the best place to get the drop is the bottom right square on the map, but it will be a lot of competition.

p/s: i got the drop on my first kill of those guys and really pissed off the jps(^_^)

I knew where to find them because I could scan their location, the problem was getting to them because they are on a higher level than most of the giddeus. You have to go to G or J7 and drop down through the floor, which will take you to the elevated area, then head southeast, then straight south to the big area at the very bottom of map.

a little tip, after you pass the dome thingy there is a small area right before the big area, here 3-4 yagudoes pop ever 9-11 minutes, and usually only 1-2 people camping here, so wait for them to pop, then run around the big area looking for strays (competition here is insane)

but, I have all three keys :biggrin:

lol i got 2 fairly easily as well - in giddeus without a map =/ so this one should be a bit tougher . . . but yeah the drop rate really isn't the problem it's competeing with those camping the spawns heh.

EDIT: well i've finished getting them and yes - Giddeus seemed to be the toughest to earn - not because of a low drop rate but took me awhile to find where they frikkin spawned in the first place. There was a jp player near me the whole time. after he earned his key he wished me good luck and gave me some cool advice that may help - each enemy has a certain spawn point (durr we know) but they spawn every 4 Vana'Diel hours, which really helped a lot - if u keep track of which enemy died where at whut time u can make rounds and try catching them as soon as they spawn based off the time. - good luck to those doing it. it's really not hard juss takes patience.

Giddeous 20 yugudos ~ 0 key drop (10~15 rivals!)
Yughott 30~40 orcs ~ 1 key drop (2 rivals)
Palbrough 25~30 quadavs ~ 1 key drop (5rivals)

i remember when i used to hunt keys and the drop were very low
now eldieme coffer keys are easy to come by
i saw like 3 eldieme coffer keys in one pt
i think square changed the drop rate

I got 1st key in Yughott on the 2nd orc.
Found coffer and wasted the key :) lol 840 gil.
Thought i wasted my time but as soon as i went back in and killed another orc, another key drop.

But damn giddeus is hard to get a yag TT i might just have to get war sub for taunt since i found out how to get to that bottom area ><

Giddeous key I consider the toughest since there are so many rivals. I got one last night with the help of my LS. The best way to do it is in a PT with players waiting at spawn sites. Solo is really difficult, especially competing against PTs that wait at one spot. Last night my PT got 4 keys in about 2 hours.

Do the chances of a drop increase on a particular day or is it just random?
