So whats the deal with the jobs?

I mean, there are people out there with the new jobs already and the expansion hasnt come out. We all know about summoner, but now dragoon too? Are the jobs basically for everyone? just the expansion opens up the new areas? because it sure seems like little reason besides new areas to get expansion...

summoner is the ONLY new job you can get without expansion
the other three you have to have the expansion for, you can't even accept the quests even though you receive them in current cities.

Ockman, my guess is that these people work for game stores and got their discs early or got their discs in Asia where they do not have to abide by the Square release date/time restriction.

Usually stocks for Asia are already in warehouses 2-3 days in advance......I remember DMC was available one week in advance from jp release date.
