Ok so I have FFXI for the PC and im think8in about gettin the 360 version. Will i be able to play my charachter and my bro play his char which are on the same pol account at the same time?

no.

if you both want to play at the same time, you need two accounts.

well what if i have a pol accout and jus add a member will i get charged and will he be able to play?

The only way to play at the same time is to have 2 accounts, and two games, at double the cost. 2 copies of PoL, 2 copies of FFXI, 2 monthly charges, etc.

The rule is one login per PlayOnline account. It's also one person/entity per PlayOnline account. If you want to play with two people each using thier own character at the same time, you must be paying double the minimum monthly fee, and have two seperate PlayOnline accounts.

If you both try to use the same account, the system will kick off the first person to log in when the second person logs in.

There'd be no point to their billing system if you could just give your account login to friends and have them all register characters on your account for only a dollar a month instead of the usual thirteen dollars a month they'd pay for their own accounts. They have it set so that every account logged in simultaneously must be paying them at least that $13.
