Is it really necessary to buy stacks and stacks of bullets? Is it worth the price? I mean I'm pretty good with armor so I don't need to buy anymore until its time for the AF, but its looking like most of my income is about to go into getting these bullets. My question is I guess, how often do you use these bullets? Is it like ranger really where you just spam shot after shot without stopping, or do you use them exclusively for pulling/ aiding in SCs? Or will you be too busy with Phantom Roll to hardly use these bullets?

Well, with Corsair, I also spam as many shots as I can. Though I don't worry about pulling hate so much, as I have -enmity merits, and -enmity on AF. However, rolls are my top priority. You'll still go through several bullets, especially if you're trying to maximize the Support/DD role.

So yah.... you'll be buying lots of bullets.

Ohhh ok thats cool. I'm leaning towards Supportive more because I'm forseeing me having to do lots of rolls and double ups. Thanks for the info! I'll do some in between shooting.

I guess this is the downside of Corsair, I've only just started it but I do alot of looking into things before I start and bullets are ridiculously priced. I know the must cost alot to make but hmm there's a line drawn at what's expensive and what's too expensive and 180k for 12x99 Iron Bullets is pushing it a bit, considering arrows of the same level (Scorp. Arrows) go for 50k and RNG is supposed to be an expensive job.

suppose you are only using the bullets to cap your Marksmenship then you drop to melee and support rolling and doubling up, you're still burning through these stacks of bullets like no mans business.

with corsair, what seems to be a pretty cheap job turns out to be VERY expensive especially if you plan on being DD.. my friend afford this through BLM KS30 runs.. hmm y'think it's time to take BLM from 38 to 75? lol

Iron bullets are much more expensive to manufacture than Scorpion Arrows. Not 180K expensive, but you can make Scorpion Arrows for a song if you have sufficient Woodworking and Bonecrafting skills. That's not true with iron bullets, where it costs 1 iron ingot per synth which typically yields 33 bullets.

yea, makes sense..

I craft scorp. Arrows to make gil and I can use 120k and get 5 stacks of 12 Quivers out of it and recently the prices deflated on heads.

I can see why bullets are so expensive.. I guess it's just aggrivating having to pay so much for the bullets.

180k per stack? Lucky.... on my server it's about 250k per. And wouldn't ya know... I'm practically broke. >_< Guess I need to get my butt back into crafting... and work up smithing instead of bonecrafting for a while.

Actually... I find myself doing ranged attacks far more than melee.... which of course has resulted in a rather low dagger skill. I tell my pt not to count on me too much for skillchaining, but I try to keep a steady stream of ranged damage going, while balancing the rolls out too. Would be easier if people would lay off the IT ++ and go for things that die a bit faster and a bit easier... but eh, whatever.

Scorpion Arrows are cheap to make and can be used at level 40, Iron Bullets are not cheap to make and are level 50. RNGs don't really even touch iron bullets (which are just overpriced only because COR can use them), When RNG is 50 they can move up to Bodkin arrows and (many stick to or mix in scorp arrows because SE doesn't want Bodkin arrows to quiver for some reason). But COR is just using iron bullets at 50, RNG will be buying silver bullets, Bodkins, the elemental arrows, in addition to acid, hold or darksteel bolts in the 50s

RNG has three Ranged weapon options versus COR's one. RNG is the more expensive job long term, COR is more expensive that RNG before 22, after that COR can live off bullets from Shiny Teeth in Rabao for the next 28 level, which are dirt cheap. After 50 and especially 60, COR is even cheaper than NIN.

As for the original poster, yes, you'll have plenty of time to be shooting the mob. I'm 45 now, I can rotate four Phantom Rolls on the PT continuously, pop off a Quick Draw after enfeebles land, skillchain and pull. But then, I have prior experience from both RNG and BRD to help me know how to manage that. I burn a lot of bullets.

Its part of the job, if you don't like paying to play a job level by level, there's plenty of jobs that get by on much, much less. COR just happens to be the most expensive support class.

hmmm i gave up on cor at 17, because i had to have a gun, and had to buy thr 10k/stack bronze bullets :x
at that time, i was rather poor, and couldnt afford it, so i gave up :x
im thinking about picking up my dice, and giving cor another shot soon

If your leaning twoard supporting and dont want to spend on bullets be a BRD. If you dont like that...buy bullets. Lots of them.
