I thought back then, SE or POL was making game cards :P did it go through or did it just failed? because i really need one :P credit cards are such hassles.
There's an online form of payment (forgot the name >.<). However, there are no game-cards that you can buy at a local best-buy.

Online account? Does that mean like paybycash or soemthing? I have one YAY! My mom won't let me use debit cause they can get every peice of cash in the bank -.- I doubt the chances of them doing that but she thinks so. Is there anything that can prove to mummy and daudy that they won't loot us and get off scott free?
SE wouldn't do that. Trust me. If they did, they would have lawsuits flying left and right and that would ruin their reputation real nicely.
As for Epassporte, it's electronic payment, aka online account, which is not paid through cash.

erm... okie dokie now erm So they can't do that (LOL) And from what i've read Epassporte is for Eurpean costumers only, Is there anything I can do that I send cash to em and they send me whats me needs?
Not that I know of. =/
If your parents don't want to playing the game, then don't. There really is no other way of playing the game other than having a debit/credit card that's owned by a 18+ parent or friend. Do you even have the money to play? It costs 13 a month.

One other remote possibility would be to get a PayPal Visa, and link PayPal to your bank account... but then, you might as well get a debit or credit card from your bank if you're going to do that.

The online "game card" you're probably referring to is at www.epassporte.com. They have a specially designed account for FFXI players.
Warning: I have never used this website and cannot say whether it is a good service or not. All I know is that this is a virtual card available to FFXI players.

You mean ePassporte? As far as I can tell from their website, they seem to offer service to anyone in the world (as long as this sort of service isn't prohibited in your jurisdiction). They even have a US toll-free # you can call them at.
Their service is a virtual Visa acct and an option of Visa Electron. They're affiliated w/ s-e to bear the ffxi logo, but it's not the designated "game card"; it's just another virtual Visa, and you can use it anywhere online Visa is accepted.

There are FFXI-branded prepaid VISA cards, but they are just like any other prepaid VISA card, and can be used to pay anywhere that accepts VISA. Just because a card has a VISA or MasterCard logo on it doesn't mean it's a credit card. In the US, VISA and MasterCard debit cards linked to your bank account are readily available, and lots of malls also sell prepaid forms of both cards that you can recharge with cash at their kiosks. If you're outside the USA, you need to go with one of those prepaid ones. There's no card that can only be used to pay for FFXI.
