I remember where it used to be if you have it on EXP you just stop and have to go back to mog hse to change it. Did they fix that?

If you max xp at 75 it switches to merit.

If you get 43,999/44,000 it will switch to merit automatically. But, on that last kill the rest of the exp does not transfer over to limit points. (Example, you're 10 away from cap - 43,989/44,000 - and you kill something that gives you 300 exp, you'll only get 10 of it. The other 290 gets cut off. THEN your next kill will be limit points.) Not a BIG deal, but something to keep in mind before you do an ENM or something. However much you get from the ENM, make sure you are at least that much tnl if you want the full amount, or switch to merits.

Also note that direct transfer of XP, such as the XP award you gain in Besieged, will NOT convert into merit points, whether you have merit mode turned on or not (i.e. don't do Besieged on a job where you have capped 43,999/44,000 XP unless you don't care about the XP).
ENM XP gains transfer over OK, but I seem to recall XP scrolls also having this problem.
