View Full Version : Oh The New Xbcd 360 Drivers Stink!

I recently reinstalled XP because I got Ubuntu and got a dual boot going on, and when I just went to http://xbcd360guide.50webs.com/ to get the new drivers, it's different now and I think there's a problem, unless it's just my fault.

Under the program's config, rumble works, but it doesn't when I test it under FFXI's config.

I'm not getting a PS3 because of the lack of rumble, so I'll quit FFXI if I can't get this working :vent:


Someone halp maybe if I restart my PC it'll work? XP takes too long to boot up and I'm busy doing nothing so I just don't wanna test it right now.

Oh and while I'm at it, can we raise our own chocobos yet? I haven't played in forever because my friend took his PS2 back and keeps forgetting to bring it back over, and my laptop is a POS :angry:

How'd I get -rep? Whoever gave me -rep is :wtf:

This is like five threads condensed into one extremely confusing super thread.

I'm not sure about your rumble problem, but I know my keyboard hasn't rumbled ever and I don't really have a problem with it.

This is a CONTROLLER all controllers are supposed to rumble and if they don't it should be illegal.

I'm using Xbox 360 controller on my PC using the site in the OP's post... i haven't had problems, works like a charm and my rumble works.

As for all controllers rumbling, the Radioshack PS2 converter wouldn't work w/o crashing the game, for me back in the day anyway...

XBOX 360 controller uses USB and connects to the PC, but the default controller drivers in xp do not work right. The site in the OP post deals with this.

(Note: i don't think the Wireless controller works)

He's installing the Xbox 360 controller for Windows. USB connected controller, also usable by Xbox360 console.

His problem is, with the XBCD drivers, he is unable to enable the Rumble feature. While I use this same setup, I don't care for the rumble.

@ OP:
No idea if the rumble can even be used. Didn't bother setting it up when I went through this process. But I'll check tonight, when I get home.

you will quit if you cant get rubble to wwork? lol that is the funnyest thign I have ever heard, NES and other older systems never had ruble...and I really see it as a pointless addon really

dont mind me while a laugh silently to myself because of rumble, thats retarded, unless you plan on jacking off with it there is real no point, (yes i know there is probally some little ears on this site but if they play FFXI then this should be nothing) i honestly ont see the hole prob, if it doesnt rumble so what enjoy the game, and if anything check to make sure all the pins is in the controller because if the pin that makes it rumble is missing no rumble for you, or private fireman time if thats what your getting at
