To play at the same time you will need 2 different Content ID's (Each cost $12.95). However you can still install it 2 times and it will work. But that will only give you 1 Content ID.

You will need two completely different accounts, not just content IDs, if you want to play at the same time.

You can't share one. If you both tried to log in at the same time, the later person to log in would kick the earlier person off the server. Only one login per account is allowed, so the server disconnects earlier logins. There's only supposed to be one person/entity using any PlayOnline account, and that rule enforces it. EVeryone logged in simultaneously must be paying at least the $12.95 fee for a single content ID. If Square knew your account was being shared with another person, they'd suspend it for violating the account agreement.
This extends across the whole PlayOnline account too, meaning that you can't play Tetra Master on your account while someone else plays FFXI on your account. You can only be logged into one of the following programs at any given time per PlayOnline account: PlayOnline Viewer, Tetra Master, JongHoLow, Front Mission Online, Final Fantasy XI, Fantasy Earth, Dirge of Cerberus Final Fantasy VII. Another machine trying to access the account for any of the programs while you are already using one on the same account will disconnect you in the middle of whatever you are doing, since one person should not be able to play more than one game at the same time, and only one person should have access to any account.
