Venomous Claw: 3.9 ~ 4.0 mil
Scorpion Harness: 3.8 ~ 3.9 mil
Scorpion Harness +1: 7.5 ~ 8.0 mil

I had my latest NQ SH up for sale at the AH. I only have about 1 mil in between all my chars, so I needed it to sell before I could take another shot at the +1. I logged on this evening and was pleasantly surprised to see that my NQ had sold, and that there were still a couple of V. Claws up for sale. I proceeded to buy a claw, rolled the die, and... HQ!

I needed to take care of some business in Windurst, so I walked on over to the airship dock and waited for the next flight out. That's when I get a /tell from someone I don't even know.

He then went on to tell me how he was trying to help his g/f with the Brown Belt quest, and how he couldn't land Morbolger. Perhaps he was trying to get me to give him a sweet deal on the +1 out of sympathy.

Well, I can't fault the guy for trying to get the +1 with his first kinda-joking comment. His follow up "offer" was borderline insulting though. He was basically proposing I sell him the +1 I just made for at least 2.5 mil less than market price.

Sorry, pal. You didn't take the risk. I did. I'll reap the full reward for my HQ, thank you very much. You took the safe road, and for that, you get enough gil to buy the NQ at no risk, and you even get some spare gil to boot. Enjoy your NQ SH (which is nothing to sneeze at).

Moral of the story: never tell a random stranger about your recent good crafting fortune.

It's a children's story called "The Little Red Hen." , My mother read it to me when I was a wee little lad.

Basically, the hen harvests some wheat, and asks her friends the Duck, the Cat, and the Dog to help her out. Being the lazy animals that they are, they say {Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass}. So she says fine, she'll do it herself.

Then she goes to grind the wheat into flour, asks the animals for help, they response in turn is the same. Fine, she'll go it alone.

Then she starts using the flour to bake bread, again, they don't wanna help.

Then the lazy animals smell that the bread is delicious and most awesome, and the Red Hen brings out the bread and asks them who will help her EAT the bread.

Of course, they all go {Yes Please!} , then the Hen, being the returner of Karma that she is, says {I'm playing solo right now} {Party} {No thanks!}

So, be sure to put an honest days work to reap an honest day's reward ^^

Someone once told me (in a windower argument) that they needed the timer to do this that and the other. And me (I objectively took the other position, because I do that sometimes, regardless of whether or not I actually agree...), being the pertinent asshole, said that I write things down.

It's generally easy to know that based on your direction, the day, and the moonphase how successful you'll be at a synth. I argued that if you were using Windower to synth, then you don't deserve to synth.

They claimed that they didn't want to risk losing materials.

Then I said that losing materials is the essence of what the economy is based off.

Granted, while they may have been right in curbing their loses (shit, who DOESNT want to make more of a profit?), no excuse exists for justifying windower to use a timer that is based off of simple 9th grade calculations that one can do on a simple sheet of paper in 15 seconds.

Windower can be used for other things, but as I said, I was just being a prick that day. (but Feba might recall that I am a prick often >.> )

Moral of the story? No risk, no reward.
