Well i used to play FF11 about 4 months ago and quit because I found other games to play but they got boring and ff11 i want to play agian.
I used to play for the PS2 but now have a good laptop with a mouse to play games on and that would be able to handle final fantasy XI.
But heres the problem.
On ps2 i have everything installed on it.
it has the following installed.
ff11
ff11 rise of ziliart(typo?)
ff11 chains of promathia
ff11 treasures of aht urghan(typo agian?)
well the only problem is every told me that the ps2 hard drive cant be switched from one ps2 to another and work properly. I was going to buy a new Big PS2 from ebay and just reinstall it but people said it dont work like that :(
so now i was going to buy the PC version with expansions.
is there a site i can buy like a bundle of everything together?
a pack that includes:
ff11 , ff11 Rise of the ziliart(typo?), ff11 CoP, ff11 ToAU
Please someone help me >_<

you can buy the vanadiel collection, which includes FFXI+zilart+chains, and ToAU. you'll need a DVD drive on your laptop though.
amazon should have both products

I'm not sure why you're averse to playing on the PS2 version, as you've already got everything you need to play on it. :worry:
It would save you a fair amount of money and trouble. But if you are dead set on playing the PC version, NT's advice is all you need.

Why do you need to move it to a new PS2. Don't you already have a PS2?
Yes, that laptop has a DVD drive.

Ah, well that's understandable. Unfortunately, not being really very knowledgable on the PS2 version, I don't know for certain if you can transfer the HD. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to, but you never know.
Your best bet to find the PC version is via Gamestop.com or Amazon.com. They don't have them all bundled just yet, but you can find the Vana'diel Collection which is FFXI through Chains of Promathia, and then you can buy Treasures of Aht Urghan separately.
I'll find some links here.
edit:
Via Gamestop - Vana'diel Collection (19.99) (http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=646310), Treasures of Aht Urghan (29.99) (http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=646516)

If im not mistaken the bundle pack (FFXI RoZ and Cop) is also sold at Wal-Mart<<<<<<<Used to work there!
And for the Tranfering of the HDD from Ps2 to Ps2, i am pretty sure you would be able to, as long as it is not the Slim version.

would it play good though? like my computer can be wierd...
handles diablo 2 full screen perfectly, pso blue burst i lagged a lil full screen and didnt know why, maple story perfectly, some games are just laggier then others i guess.
is FFXI gonna be laggy on my laptop?
Murphie

Probably. FFXI is very often laggy. That doesn't mean it won't be playable, it just means that sometimes you'll have lag. In those instances, just lower your settings and you should be just fine.

dang i hate lag. on the PS2 i never lagged besides in jueno. i wish it would be the same for PC
you said "often laggy" is that everywhere or just in places like jueno and crowded areas in AH areas

I just mean that FFXI is a weird game, and it can sometimes be laggy in crowded places.

I can't say for certain, unfortunately. Each computer runs it differently. Someone with more technical know-how would have to answer that for you.
