I'm sure we've all come across some very odd, hilarious, etc, MT's and some point in our gaming, via /tell, /say/, /linkshell, and of course, /party... What was some of the best MT's you've seen? Feel free to also post pics of the text if you have them.

I have one friend that sends me mistells all the time, but never anything funny.

I had one friend send me a tell about pulling down panties and cyber stuff like that, followed by them turning /away on faster than I could reply with "Uh...". A few minutes later they said it was a mistell.

One guy that I didn't know was asking me some fishing questions while he and his (e-)girlfriend were fishing next to me. About an hour later, they both stopped fishing, shortly followed by the guy sending me a cybering mistell. I don't think I responded. >_>a

Those are the only two I remember the details on. Myself and my friend used to send eachother fake mistells sometimes. They were pretty similar to how we'd talk face to face. (Normal conversation > say something completely random and possibly akward > long pause of silence > continuing on.)

I'm pretty careful about what I say after I made fun of a party member's complete lack of ability in party chat. Either they didn't even notice I was making fun of them or they were being nice and didn't make a big deal out of it. Either way, I felt silly.

The number of MTs I make went down to next to 0 after they allowed us to use the "Home" key in FFXI. I double check where my tells go before I send them, at least when I'm talking to people with similar names in tells.

Well, in /t I was talking to someone about using whm to take out some. bones and in /t with another person I was asking questions about another LS mate. The MT made it so that in /l chat it looked I just randomly for no reason popped out with something lines of:

Was amusing 'cause <insert name> had -just- logged in, hadn't said Hi yet, and it was the first thing they saw in thier chat log.

As far as mistells go, I think we've all had the one where we think we're telling our LS about something that sucks in a party, but actually tell the party. Oops.

I think during a party I was listening to both LS and party chat, and someone said something funny, to which I replied, "That's what she said" in the wrong chat log. Funny thing was, it worked for both conversations, and no one really knew it was a MT.

Someone else in the ls was in a party and was telling his party members, "I'm good" (like, good to go) but he happened to MT that during a conversation about sex. There was a nice long string of lol's after he revealed that it was a MT. :)

I used to do a lot of Gardening back "in the day." I was wandering around in Lower Jeuno and then realized I may have to feed may plants here soon. I tried to type out /clock so I knew the day and what day was next, but the LAG Stick hit me. In the middle of an extremely quite time in the LS, this happens.

Another time, one of our less loved LS Members, who either doesn't speak English very well, or just likes to be annoying, said something unintelligable. I was in a party with two other sackholders and was trying to say, /party WTF is he trying to say now? {Please use the Auto Translate function.} Only problem was I hit the CTRL+l at the last second, and it was printed out in LS, and they saw it! I then got like 15 /tells from other LS members, all along the lines of LMFAO. I felt so bad I then went out of my way to figure out what he was asking, and then to help him. lol

Anyway, one day I'm crafting by the AH in Whitegate and my friend is telling me about this party she passed by in Qufim that was being healed by a 30 RDM Taru. Apparently their little Taru babysitter couldn't quite tank a Gigas and died, and immediately after the entire party wiped.

Yeah, I'm pretty much the same way. I tend not to want to cause tension, so if I'm upset with someone, i'll talk to a friend about it, but I also tend to type faster and therefor typo more when I'm angry :(

I'm prone to these as well. I call them 'mtish.' The most common occurrence is when I'm exp partying with LS mates and I type party info into LS chat. Sometimes I do it so often in a short time span that I quit bothering to point them out.

Recently I made a mt into LS chat that was totally innocent but was misconstrued by my LS mates and their dirty minds. I noticed a friend was lfp while anon, so I sent them a tell to ask if they realized it. They were totally embarrassed (admitting to have been lfp for two hours and were about to give up), so I typed "well, we all do it sooner or later *^^*" and it went into LS chat. Everyone reacted to the phrase 'do it,' the horny little bastards!

A little context - one of the legacy HNM groups on Ramuh, which also has a history of splitting off new groups, recently had about 15 members transfer to Carbuncle and stage a coup in the HNM scene there. This may be a little scattered as it happened about 5 years ago...

I was in my static party out in the jungle and our summoner wasnt really paying attention... which was fine - the rest of us carried more than our own weight whe we next in party read...

the next line that I saw was in my Linkshell Chat

after that she d/c'd and we diddnt see her (him actually..) for a week or so.

And Vent exploded with laughter... I ended up almost getting the party killed because I was laughing so hard and forgot to provoke the critter off the whitemage.... xDD

After the first incident this was honestly a regular occurance with each one getting more and more raunchy as time went by, I'd keep vent going over my speakers when I wasnt ingame to listen for the next installment of the ever growing Epic MT's that Aerdrie was trying to send to another girl in our linkshell. :thumbsup:

This is not a MT but it was funny anyways. As a linkshell, my social LS was doing Promy runs on Saturday. We had 2 groups and we all were gonna teleport to Promy-Dem. One of our LS sackholders tele'd us to Promy-Dem, soon as we loaded I said "/p wtf I got tele'd to holla >.>" and his gf started loling because she was playing in the same room as him, and he thought he accidently hit Holla instead of Mea. We all got a good laugh out of it. Fun times.

Edit: Our LS leader had one yesterday, she said.
