Ok, I'v been gone from the game for 3 months. I had to take some time away because I could not find enough time durning the week to justify spending the money.
I was wondering exactly when my characters would be deleated. My content IDs went inactive on May 31 2006. So, August will be the third month of them being gone. To prevent my characters from being deleated, but keeping my account inactive for as long as possible (rounding to the full month cause it is the same charge no matter when you reactivate the account) should I reactivate the account after August 1 or September 1?
If my question is not completly clear let me know.

I think the time limit is actually up to one year now, but I'm not 100% sure.

Your characters should still be there. They have really relaxed their time limits on that.

You sure, I was taking to one of my old LS friends said that they had their alt's accounts deactivated for around 4 months and the characters were gone when they were reactivated. Just looking for personal experience.

Back in 2004 I took a break for seven months, and my character was still there. So from personal experience, I can say that you are ok. But maybe your friends have had a different experience.
Back to vanadiel program allows you to come back to the game, despite the fact that you haven't played long since 3 months ago....
so....in all acutality, SE lies and the extend time is longer than 3 months, though nobody can say for sure how long it is.
They garuntee it for 3 months, HOWEVER usually they don't delete that often, and you're usually ok up to a year.
If you want to protect your character, just keep paying for the account, it's not that expensive really.
Or you could set up a deal with a friend, have them help pay for it, and in exchange you let them use your account for things like muling.
Considering that SE is getting paid whether you use your account or not, I don't see why they would delete it for inactivity.
If you read, he deactivated his content IDs, as in, he's *not* paying.
In which case, SE *will* delete the characters eventually.
