Help Starting Afresh

So I decided to delete my characters and start all over again. However I ended back up on Gilgamesh. I know accounts are linked to your first characters account because of mules but I thought this ended when I deleted my characters. So was Gilgamesh just the world I ended on or am I going to have to use a worldpass? I just want to end up on a random world, which I missed out on by using a worldpass the first time.

Also I got a different cutscene when creating this character than my previous characters mule did, both started in Windurst.

You might try creating a new handle, too, and/or deleting and re-purchasing the content IDs (I don't know if that'd work, so don't do it based on this post).

Each city has a couple different possible cutscenes. I think you can randomly start in any of a city's zones that have exits to the outside, and the zone you start in determines the cutscene.

I probably should know it but I don't. What's a handle? I don't want to delete/repurchase my IDs because I've forgotten my account ID, I remember my password though.

if you've deleted all characters, then the active content ids don't matter. a possible reason why you might have gotten gilgamesh again is that the game determined that was the "optimal" server for you at the time. If you wait a little longer and try again, it might place you somewhere different.

Handles are like extra identifying info. Your friends list is tied to your handle, which is why it's accessible on any character on that handle. I don't even know how to create them and apply them to each character anymore. It used to ask when you selected a character if you wanted to use its default handle. Now that it doesn't do that, I have no idea where that stuff is.

I'm originally on Carbuncle. I kept making a new character (when trying to figure out how to use a worldpass) but kept being put on Carbuncle, about 4 times in a row. However, when I moved to ramuh via worldpass my mules which are linked to MY handle, are automatically on ramuh.

My brother stayed on Carbuncle, same game ID and same registration code, but a different handle within the account, and all his mules go automatically into carbuncle.
