Anyone else notice the hordes of people in places like Garlaige Citadel and Crawlers Nest that have lvl 1 (besides being inapproriate) subs, all rank 1, have no ls or part of the same ls, and only usually have 1 piece of equip close to their lvl unless they're a mage, then its all 20-

Its quite annoying as I'm trying to take nin up and its currently 42...if the gilsellers keep lvling I'll have to compete with them the whole way up, and since they cover atleast a 15 lvl I don't really feel like waiting for them to out grow it. I just wanna lvl nin, is that so wrong ; ;

Also, in the legit ptys I've been in in the Crawlers Nest, almost all of them have said "I have a pl". And I'm like, what....???? Ok, I can deal with it through Qufim...but...I have Utsu Ni now, and quite frankly, I'm pretty darn good at the whole blink tanking thing. Theres no need for a PL. I'm also too nice for my own good and stay in these ptys anyways, which is my own fault I know. But, a lvl 42-44 pty...pty make up: nin, mnk, drk, drk, blm, rdm. I swear the drk and blm were trying to take hate too. But, since we had a pl, why did and of that silly controling hate matter? -.- These were all rank 6+ players too...it was really quite sad.

So far the best pty I've had was in West Altep Desert, chaining V-IT beetles for really good exp, got 2 lvls, exp was fast, no compition.../hurray for people that know diff exp spots.

So, yeah, sorry bout the rant, just needed to get it out.

The real point is, this happening to anyone else?

LoL all those crappy looking players with crap for gear, crap for subs, an crap for rank are all gil farmers powering their chars to 75.

power levelers are lame, but why pass up the pt invites, just milk them, an talk to the pl, that you want to do most of the tanking/curing. most will understand........

My dunes party the other day had an RMT WHM. I could tell as soon as he got to camp (level 1 RSE, nothing else, gibberish name). The rest of the party didn't care. So the PLD pulled, and then the WHM used Benediction. I just laughed hysterically and disbanded.

I like it especially when they're at the entrance to the Aggas area in Boyahda with four of them following one and the sixth pulling in mobs. You're so tempted to wait for the hearder character to change equipment to see four gillsellers run in all directions.

Was waiting for them to start pulling so I could call a GM on them, but apparently they don't pull if someone's near them. The puller (only one moving) kep checking me, so I kept activating my change equip macros. Anything to irritate them.

There's nothing wrong with having a PL at any level as long as you have a good party that can do their jobs anyway. I have two characters, one of which is a 75 WHM that I keep around on my laptop to help PL my other character while I'm leveling low level jobs. There's not a thing wrong with having a PL to keep chains going, it just helps the exp. Now if you've got a PL and all the people are like "I don't have to do my job now that you have a PL around," then you run into a problem, but it's with the players, not the PL.

What's the challenge in having a 75 WHM standing around? If you can't get good exp in a regular party, then the problem isn't a lack of healing.

I've also noticed the new RMT around in the dunes, everyone in lvl 1 gear, lvl 20 mages having nothing but starter gear and maybe a lvl 10 staff or whatever.

I've also not had that much in the way of great PTs lately.. yesterday was trying to level whm more and get to lvl 51, so I could use my elemental staves.

PT consisted of:
WHM (me)
DRG (leader)
DRK
PLD
BLU
COR

Since the COR wouldn't pull.. the DRG decided to be puller. And not Jump-pull. AGGRO-pull.
The spot we camped at was in CN by the Helm Beetles in a tunnel there with the beetles at the end I think and a crawler spawn halfway in.

We get a couple good pulls in, COR is doing his job half-a$$ed along with stupid macros for doing hot shot.. Crawler spawns right after a battle and aggroes me, and we all wipe except for the COR who seemed to be afk without notice while we're trying to kill the crawler and once we're all dead, starts walking away.

We regroup in Jeuno, the COR and DRK disbands. We get another PLD and RDM and go back to the same spot, DRG is puller again but this time the beetles want to be spread out just enough to where they MIGHT link. RDM complains about the DRG taking too long to pull and decides to pull. Not with Dia or anything simple.. but with FIRE II. The RDM also did not enfeeble (I was doing Dia II and trying to stick Paralyze w/ my Ice Staff.. didn't stick half the time anyways), looked like they only had a Dark Staff out of the elemental staves, and was saying that she was a BLM. Oookay.

So after a little while with the new setup we're doing ok, my lvl 75 PLD friend comes by my PT to hang out a bit, and they all think he's there to PL or so(which he wasn't, but he did help out with curing a bit). I sit down to rest after a fight and my PLD friend comes over and positions himself to where it looks like I'm sitting in his lap, and the leader makes a comment:
DRG: Taruun you having fun?
Me: Yep
Me: Tons of fun.
DRG: Well I guess that shows what Tarus are good for.
Me:.....

(If you don't get it.. PLD friend was Hume and I was Taru.. and I think you can get the picture of what they meant.)

I can understand having a pl if theres no whm or some such, as long as the pty still functions as a pty. This is a part that I left out of my first post (prolly cause I was upset and tired>.>; )but I'm serious when I say the drk was trying to pull hate. Every single time that he use any of his ja, he would use them at once, right before I was able to get off a second voke. If it wasn't for the pl (that he was dual boxing) he would've died everytime he did that.

The people in the pty just treated it like a free for all since we had a pl. When looking for members, the one that had the pl just said, 'It doesn't matter, we have a pl'. Thats what really irked me. I think he dual boxed the pl just so he could pull stupid stunts like that and he didn't have to play his job right. There was even a whm lfp when the leader was making the pty...but didn't get them 'cause we have a pl'.

On the plus side the gil seller pty next to us had their mages die like 3 times each =P
