Directionallity and fishing

Hey guys Jet here again,
I've been fishing Nebs lately and I thought of a question. In my last 2 fishing outings I receieved..day 1; 4@0.2 skillups, day 2; 1@0.2 skillups, with no .1's. When crafting (I cook, it's how I got into fishing) supposedly the direction you face effects success/skill up rates. Does this apply to fishing? eg. I am on the Ferry; will my success/skill up rate be different if I am fishing on the north side versus the south?

Hmm. I haven't noticed any relation to fishing skill-ups and direction since the skill-ups are so infrequent and random. But I just casually fish. Perhaps some of the more "professional" anglers know differently and will chime in... :)

(My fishing is level 63 btw.)

Directionality does not affect fishing. More importantly, there are quite a few places where you simply can't dictate what direction you're facing when fishing. :P

More importantly, there are quite a few places where you simply can't dictate what direction you're facing when fishing. :P The boat does have a Twilight Zone-esque phenomenon, doesn't it? You can see the North Star and if you point, you'll be pointing in certain directions, but...that doesn't quite fit in with where you're supposed to be traveling along the sea! :eek:
