Never mind, there are some additional details....
- The Level Cap Break 3 quest is called "•—‚Ì?s•û‚Í" (Which way is the wind blowing?)
- Drain will now use less MP than before.
- You will not be able to reset 2 hour skill (SP) even if you change jobs in the mog house anymore. Even if you switched job, the job which you changed to will also need to wait the 2 hours to be able to use the skill again.
- When you move while using an item, the item will not be lost anymore. Meanwhile, if you were using an item while paralyzed, the item will still be lost (unless it is a magic scroll item, which will be retained if it is not learned)
- The "Regen" effect will not automatically cancel the sleep effect anymore... (Didn't say anything about Pian?)
(My Comment - Good luck fighting against the Mandragoras BCNM if Pian doesn't cancel the sleep effect either...)
- The "Raise/Tractor" having no effect on a dead body bug has been fixed. (Before, the player has to log out and come back in order for the raise/tractor to be effective again)
- Lv 3 Renkei is implied to be released? Also, as the number of ws in the renkei is connected, the time which you have the time to connect the next ws is reduced.
- There is now a damage cap on renkei damage (according to the number of hits in the renkei)
- A few renkei's have changed attributes, and a few renkeis are not connectable anymore (like rampage > rampage)
- TP will reset when switching some range weapons.

- Some Treasure Coffer pop spots have been changed.
- Orcs lv30 or higher will now have higher max HP.
(My comment - forcing lv57+ people to go to other places to level than davoi?)
- Dhalmel bones/skins will now have less drop rate.
- World Passes will only be able to be offered to one person (down from 5)
- Conquest expeditions' conquest points rewards have varied greatly.
- The rate of Conquest Points increase by trading crystals to the gate guard now corresponds to your rank.
- Stackable food items will now have less effective time.
- A few quests now have different rewards, and a few quests have been changed in difficulty.
- Fishing Guilds now sell "Mithra-styled fishing rods."
- a new tag <ht> is now added - refers to the target of the monster when you asked for assistence.

the time is now shorten <shorten by how much didnt say, we gotta feel it ourselves>
and then that this shortening of the WS > WS time for renkei works especially well for samarai (sounds liek a goddam change for samarai only and make problems for other jobs to me)
man... the brand new DRK magic is such a joke... and the way they take away <dama DMG> for THF sub is also gay... god... vanadiel now is mess up... a (Thiefy) world

I'm wondering if the new DRK magic will lower the enemys stat that you steal. The list doesn't really specify if it lowers the enemys stat, just says that it raises your own.
If you can actually steal enemys stats from them, the other spells aside from the obvious DEX and STR stealing spells will be useful, for instance steal MND from healing type enemys and such..
I'm pleased that Drain is going down in cost. 51MP was far too much before. Hopefully the new cost is like 15MP or so. That would be much better.
They didn't tone down the thief job... I think it's too powerful with claws + deceive/backstab + combo WS...

Skye: Didn't you realize your ideal DRK/THF since last year's patch has been messed from the start? The subbed-backstab was nerfed long ago, and the blame is also now nerfed, rightfully so.
These are good steps towards balancing the game for future levels. Think of a war/thf doing triple attack, backstab, berserk, blame, double attack, etc in like level 100+, without these subjob nerfs, thief would be obselete as main.
Want to center your gameplay around fuidama? Be a thief.
I'm also expecting telepo, treasure hunter2, dezone2, etc to be main job specific.

On the same note, I think subjob darkness shouldn't be as good. A dark knight is a knight that uses darkness. Other jobs using darkness just doesn't seem fair

Cost at least 100G to start with when you list an item at Jeuno/Kazamu AH, encouraging people sell in stack, but now who is gonna post all the mixing resource on AH now (since most of them are cheap)... You can post it at other city, but without a centralized place, it just make the mixing job very hard. No one want to go back to the other city's guild and buy it... The only hope I have in this is

I think they are trying to fixed the over powered thieves with the patches (guess i have to play something else now ><). Thieves were mainly used for dmg in PTs, but since there are dmg caps in renkeis, I guess those 3k dmg renkeis will rarely be done now.... Thief sub was good with wars n spears (like 800 dmg solo?) but I guess those r useless too now....
With the new match, it sounds like most melee jobs are only good with 1 sub; war/mnk, drk/war, mnk/war.... but mages are no longer pandas (stole the term from jonny^^)
Increased hp with orcs... ewww, now where am I gonna level ><
Sigh* not sure if I am one of those resistant old ppl that freak out when there are changes, but these new things sure sounds harsh and making the game much harder to play ><

in my opinion, change is verrrrrrrrrrrry welcome. when youve clocked in 90 days of playtime, any changes are fuggin great. squareenix is doing a good job of keeping things fresh, keeping the balance, and giving us something to work at.
well Sheila... im not here to argue but you dont know how that fuidama works when is on a LV 60 DRK.... and your not a high LV DRK yourself so you wouldnt know how it works and im too lazy to give reasons. so be it...
there is reasons why theres many DRKs <especially LV 60> running around in PTs...

No, I don't need you to tell me why you think DRK/THF is grate, and that I don't know anything ww~ I know how it works, and I definately know how a DRK and THF should play.
Like most sensible people I knew that DRK/THF isn't going to work in the long run because for all those unrealistic bonuses (which are being nerfed further). You were already loosing way more in overall attack power and defense simply by using a thf sub instead of war.
I'd take Choutasu, Berserk and Double Attack, Increased defense over a slow ass swing, Stealing and waiting around until a proper surprise attack+blame which needs me to be behind the opponent + behind someone in party.
I pity the headaches you created for the real thieves ending a bent renkei, who are trying to get in proper position to use their stacked abilities on the other melee member and hoping the monster isnt facing them already. Besides if you were a good dark you would be dealing so much damage on each swing, monsters would already be facing you pretty often.
Everyone's been debating up and down the street about the dreamy DRK/THF and are tired of it, because some people *cough* just won't listen to the other side. I recall someone going "Oh those leaders wanting DRK/WAR are so~~ ignorant", if that's not brushing off widely accepted standards, then I don't know what is.
However, feel free to play any job combo you wish. I just won't stand people who are new to the game influenced into thinking anything goes, then complaining when it simply doesn't work out.

Usually quest requirements are NEVER revealed by squnix. This sort of thing the players have to find out for themselves (or for the 2ch freaks to crack). Squnix will only tell you "Oh it's there..."
Dispel selling for 75000 fuckaroos and no news of Phalanx spell. Anyone saw it?
The 2-hr ability renew is disappointing but nothing for me to cry about. I don't use my 2-hr ab often anyway. Obviously they found out some are exploiting Renzokuma to raise skills >:P

...is there some big quest going on in jueno w/ the "tai-chi old man" ?? I was watching the live stream and there's a freakin TONs of ppl in their AFs talking to him and running off again. (or maybe this was the original break lvl 50 cap guy? i donno... i still ahve to go to jeuno myself.....)

I only invite DRK/WAR only when i desperately need taunter, and there's no one around. Keeping a DRK alive is so difficult especially after renkei. DRK normally got attacked so much that the WHM gotta risk their lives healing the DRK. resulting in a total new mess from aggroing and protecting WHM.
now if we have PLD, they can protect the DRK, yes. But then protecting also need positioning, which you mentioned you don't like it eh?
positioning THF is not that hard. every body does it everywhere all the time. with DRK/THF the DRK and fully use their abilities and attack power on renkei and not getting target to themself.
after the patch THF's renkei is still super powerful..... still. I don't feel it's weakinging or anything ....

I think the problem with DRK subbing THF is this:
If the PT already has a THF and PLD, naturally the THF will be hiding behind the PLD, and the monster would be facing the PLD all the time. Now where can the DRK be in the formation? at the opposite side of the THF, of course, which makes "dama" kind of irrelevant.
DRK/THF only serves as a replacement of a main THF, IMO. If the PT already has a THF, I'd rather have the DRK sub WAR instead.

I think drk/thf is kinda a replacement for Thf when no thieves are around (hardly ever tho). It would technically work with drk/thf, pld/war, thf/war as melee (thf/war for emergency taunt). Formation would be thf>war>mob>drk. When doing renkei, the drk would start off doing sneak + ws, immediately drawing attention to him, then thf can do sneak n deceiving behind the war while the mob has it's back to him. I guess this would work, technically (since I've never tried this, but this is kinda what happaned when i went in PT with rng, and thf), but not sure if that little extra dmg in renkei is worth the risks. Another drawback is that when drk/thf r used to replaced thf, renkei is limited to bend, and not nuclear heat.
question: does sneak stack with scythe 150 ws? coz if not, the above formation is useless ^^
Even at level 60 tho I think a thf would be better than drk/thf. If one was to look for dmg dealers in renkei, why go thru all the trouble with drk/thf when u can just get a thf? If higher dmg is needed in regular hits, drk/war can do the same job as a drk/thf, if not better. Also, charging TP is kinda slow for drk/thf I think coz when you miss a hit, it's 12% gone where as drk/war has the chance to do double swing, and thf/war has the chance for double swing (or counter with mnk sub) and triple attack.
As of before the patch, I still like either mnk/war, war/thf or drk/war to go with pld/war n thf coz it's effective and everyone knows what to do to play their job better and play to fit others as well.

Your WHM is having a hard time curing you? Sounds like you used Darkness + Last resort in the middle of a battle or a WS at beginning or middle of renkei (where 2hs or scythe usually go).
Combined with your low defense from oh-so-good thf sub it's not very smart party tactics, nor nice to any whm. The monster will be all over the place, and the whm also would have to sit double time after battle to get that MP back.

well... this is a interesting conversation. But after all of it, What do you all think should a main class Thief use a sub now? I am still sort of looking deep into this situiation. I've seen alot of combinations and am not quite sure what to do. I've started off using war now, monk was to world reknown for me. Any opinions on this...
Well, A main THF sub usually now is WAR /MNK, depending on the renkei, if renkei is wannkyoku , sub WAR
if renkei is kakunetsu <fire explosion> sub MNK so THF must have both sub job at max lvl for diff. renkei usage.
