What is the definition of a static party?

A party where it's the same members all the time.

Say you want to play with 3 other friends and level up only when you all are together. Then you'd have a 4 person static.

It also seems that alot of static parties have a set time that they play. ex: Tuesdays at 7.00 pm

That's true. Usually the jobs of a static complement each other as well.

And you can have static parties for anything. Leveling, missions, whatever. :)

Yeah, static parties eliminate "seeking" for a PT, and searching for members (if your static PT is full).
But still, even if it's not a full PT, looking for 1 or 2 pick ups is certainly better than looking for 5 people.

A static party is when a BLM in a pt uses Thunder to much and it causes the pt to exsplod.

No really it is...

But um yeah, I find statics learn how to exp and you get better as you go, getting more exp in less time. So statics are great.
