Expansion Out Unofficially

Someone told me the expansion is already in sellers' hands and they are just not able to sell them until thursday. However, since most of Asia is all about money, there are so already sold... I'm going to check it out tomorrow to verify this. From Hong Kong here.

sending out products before the due date is so normal for japanese marketting :) :spin:
And most sellers in japan obay the rule and keep the product until the releasing date too. (there's a really strick law about this)

for other sellers outside japan they don't have any rules to stop them from selling as soon as the recieve the products.
Do you think that is a good thing or bad thing to do? :spin:

What do you mean you "saw" someone? You can't even use the expansion until after maintenance anyway

Yuna, you made me go out to a store this morning to check. The store (HK) was closed so will try out during lunch time. I want to get this right away, so that I don't end up waiting for the 2nd batch to come in.

According to what I know, most (if not all) stores normally receive a product a couple days prior to the release date, and the products are not to be sold till the official date. The reason for this is to avoid any delays in shipment causing some stores to lose businesses. Not sure if this is the same for Japan, but as far as I know, this is what they do for HK and Canada. If a retail store is caught selling the products earlier than the official date that have been set, the retail may be sued and/or the retail will no longer receive products for resale from that manufacturer.

woah, didn't have to get hostile did u.... only trying to give a little input as to the stores having the expansion already so not everyone make a trip to the store and check........ maybe they r allow to sell it early then..........

No, all the stores are not allow to sell their product early, no exceptions. However, there are always people who dun obey the rules. You can see it happen alot in HK and Taiwan.

Most of us in HK get the games like FFXI from an import store, where they do not have to stick to official release date.

I just got my copy:) Price was HK$250 (US$32, JPY3,900).

I wonder if I can install this now or wait until midnight JP time?
