Hey im selling my copy for $40.00 , which is good for you gamers who don't get into beta because beta 1 is out and beta takes about 5-7 months and most of you won't get in. I don't have time to play anymore so $40.00 and it is yours.

1) Beta doesn't take THAT long. Maybe a couple months.
2) Don't be so negative about us being accepted.
3) I don't want it. (Yes I want the game, but I want the US version)
Thank you.

first of all hybrid you need to stop spamming, and if your going to don't do it on my threads. I am offering the game to thoughs who do not wish to wait long for the beta. Second of all i have had experience with beta's most likely a lot more then you and they do infact take a long time, my guess of how long the beta for ff xi will be is actually very accurate. Thirdly i'm not putting down anyone or being negative in any way, it is simply a fact that not many people make it into beta, they only send of invites by the hundreds to the thousands depending on how far along they are in the beta proccess infact the chances of any of us getting in the beta 2 in the us is going to be limited. Think of how many fans there are. I am sure many of you will take part in the beta but for the most part it won't be many this is only 1 of the hundreds of thousands of Final Fantasy XI communities out there, in each one there is dozens if not hundreds of fans waiting for the opportunity. Please think about what your saying before you spam or believe that someone is being negative you may get yourself in trouble.

I dont think hybrid is spamming and iv been aceppted in to 16 betas all together. Mostly of them are pc (games like warcraft for example). And they dont take 5-7 months.

thats great but when you were excepted was it beta phase 1? such as the ffxi beta? or was it beta 2-3 thoughs are short term betas and public for the most part, understand that companies need the beta time to fix bugs and errors and that takes a long time ;) and plus it was spamming because her post had nothing to do with the topic

FFxi has already been tested in Japan. All square really did was translate it. How many bugs can there be. Almost all of them have been found already. And Hybrid was telling you that betas dont take 5-7 months just like me.

exactly but not in america, you see there is a big difference, yes it is mainly the language but a lot of code has to be changed because of the language barrier (which going through all that code can take a looooong time being able to program myself i would know" your right 5-7 months does sound steep but it is truth because besides that they also have to test server copacity as well. Also, not almost all the bugs have found there are still a lot left in the japanese version so there will no doubtly be a lot more in the american version. Also within the beta they have to do advertising (commercials and etc not just on the internet). Also it was spamming because the post was off topic if she wanted to argue with something i said she should have PMed me to tell me about it, if it were a real mistake then i could have changed it. so you see there is more to it then just "translate it" there are going to be a lot of differences.

Some people are really misreading the beta application. The beta test they're doing is for connectivity purposes only. Only a select few will be able to see PlayOnline and FFXI.
edit: What this means is that FFXI will have a very short beta test -- it won't take 5-7 months.

The only bugs possible are connectivity they dont need to change code because we are going to use the same servers and in a recent patch they made it so us ip addresses can use the servers and they tested that in the closed beta

A single 5-10 minute irc or icq chat would settle this. Why post pointless stuff here?
... this message is pointless... awe crap.

i edited that a little but they are still all said by you and nothing new has been added.
The game engine is, as all languages, written in 32-64-bit binary. Compiled upon a system that cares not what languages the users speak. The only code to be changed is a lnguage library, names for objects and narratives- this is like, one month of work for the force of which square has at it's disposal.
