RDMs time is here...hopefully

Come tomorrow, RDMs could become the most powerful of the mages. Besides the new spells, Despell and Phalanx (hopefully better than Stoneskin or Blink), we now have the ability to Fast Cast all the time (LV15 ability for those interested in RDM sub), and most importantly, Convert, a HP to MP conversion ability. I'm curious to see at what level this ability will be available. I'm hoping that it will be LV40 or above. If any lower, all the mages will sub RDM to get these 2 abilities. I also hope that there will not be any time limit on Convert. Please do not make it a 2 hours ability:sweat:

hmm, it will be quite interesting what lv convert will be added, because as you said tomoh, many BLM and WHMs may consider a new sub (hell I will probably start subbing my 23RDM). I was wondering, it might be a lv15 ability in line with the BLM and WHM ones with a 10min refresh? Just a guess, and the ability will be useful depending on how much the conversion rate is really, if its like 10%, thats not going to be very nice :(

Still, me subbing WHM gives a bit more MP and a a point (or 2 now) lower INT, I think I prefer the MP and curaga and such, but who knows really~

As for a main job, I hope they gain more respect, because I have heard RDM slagged quite a few times, I enjoyed raising it, and the AF is great! Im not saying make em uber, but it would be nice for squares restructure of the RDM makes em more appreciated in PTs. Though I do understand RDM cant have the best of both worlds since they can do pretty much everything, hmm I dunno, I get drowned with thoughts I seem to lose sense :spin:

I can kill in Davoi for 4 hours without sitting down even once!!!

now what im really looking forward to, is the dispell, and the sword skill cap raised :spin: :spin: 190 for 1h sword is too low for us really, considering it's our main weapon.
I hope Square would be kind enough to let RDM use Boople Blade with out /war. :rolleyes:

and money making will be a lot easier, 2 more levels and we RDM can use dancing edge with /THF for sure \^-^/ right now at level 60 it's capped at 196


edit - i noticed refresh effect doesn't stack with juice ^^; if you drink juice and cast refresh, the juice effect will be replaced with refresh.
Refresh effect is comparative to yagudo drinks, i think. :) 3 mp/second

Yeah they kind of screwed up the weapon caps didn't they. A: knife B: sword C: staff - but then AF1 and ultimate weapon are both swords... what the?

Anyway, I think the convert skill will have at least a 10 min refresh, otherwise you could basically just use convert, cast cure on yourself, use convert again, cast cure etc etc and you would never need to sit down. I don't see the point in making it a lv40 skill either. They'll probably make it around the same level as 精霊の印 and 女神の印 just to match the other mages. I'm not bothered about other classes subbing red mage. They won't be getting refresh for a looooooong time :) And I think they miss out on Phalanx until the next level up too.

The person also checked around Selbina, Jueno, and Mahula and Refresh was not being sold. No mention of other spells.
